Thomas J Fudge's Remarkable Bakery

Thomas J Fudge’s Remarkable Bakery – review and giveaway

thomas-j-fudges-logoI love trying new things and encouraging Monkey to explore new tastes and textures.  I recently discovered Thomas J Fudge’s Remarkable Bakery and their range of exotic sounding savoury nibbles!

Bursting with colour, flavour and the finest ingredients, a brand new seriously remarkable range of savoury biscuits is set to tempt the taste buds of food fans everywhere.

Packed with a punch, the remarkable new range is made with the finest ingredients, giving a heavenly and full-flavour experience. The Thomas J Fudge’s range boasts 15 tasty treats, including colourful shards, magnificent melts, exquisite pufferies, fabulous flats and a spectacular Biscuits for Cheese.

I was intrigued to taste some of these delights myself.  Thomas J Fudge’s Remarkable Bakery are a family run firm based in Dorset that was established in 1916.  Now I know that you should never judge a book by its cover, but these boxes are devine aren’t they?

Thomas J Fudge's Remarkable BakeryI received a selection of the 15 different savoury snacks to try – Earthy Beetroot & Horseradish Shards, Firey & Flavoursome Jalapeno Melts and Crisp & Savoury Seed & Oat Flats.

Now I have to be honest, I wasn’t too sure about the idea of Beetroot and Horseradish together.  I love Beetroot, but am not too keen on Horseradish.  I was pleasantly surprised, with them, and in fact they were Monkey’s favourite.  They are crunchy with a warm beetroot taste and a very slight hint of the horseradish.  Monkey ate his with hummus for a snack.

My favourite (surprise, surprise) were the Firey & Flavoursome Jalapeno Melts.  These are more crumbly than the shards, and have a real jalapeno kick.  I loved them, but they are certainly not for the faint hearted.  Mixed with the jalapeno is the deep cheddar cheese tang – I could happily have eaten the entire box by myself.

For something totally different we tried Thomas J Fudge’s Remarkable Bakery – Crisp & Savoury Seed & Oat Flats.  These reminded me so much of breakfast in Sweden and Denmark.  I could happily eat these with a bit of smoke salmon with a continental style breakfast.  Very nice, a little bit different.

With a RRP of between £2.25 to £4.50, I will be adding a selection from the Thomas J Fudge’s Remarkable Bakery range to my Christmas shopping list!

  1. Fish and Chips! I still remember the Burton’s Fish and Chip snacks as a child – they were fantastic!

  2. I think my biscuit would be tea flavoured so if I couldn’t have a cup of tea I’d have a tea biscuit! Portable tea….

I'd love to hear from you and try to reply to all comments
