A new top for a new year!

A new top for a new year!

January always seems a rather bleak month, Christmas and the excitement of Monkey’s birthday is behind us, Spring still seems months away.  I hate dark days, I really don’t do cold very well.  I can totally see why bears hibernate during the winter – I would love to do the same!  So can you tell, I’m a bit grumpy?  In need of cheering up a bit, in need of some retail therapy.  Yep!  A new top for a new year!  That’s what’s needed to bring a bit of sunshine into my day.

What do you think to this?  I couldn’t resist.

A new top for a new yearYes, I know it’s blue, that’s me, what I like, but hey, I’ve actually added a pattern!  Quite a bold move for me.  I figured a new top for a new year, and a bit of colour, something to stand out a bit.  I’ve actually moved away from my plain, one colour only normal agenda!

A new top for a new year and guess where it’s from? Bonmarche have come up trumps again, and actually I was spoilt for choice.  This top is also from the David Emanuel range, just like my winter coat, you may remember I reviewed a while back now. (Which is used constantly, and is always being commented on).

This Geo Print tunic top is available exclusively on the website, I love 3/4 length sleeves, so this top is perfect for me. Again another plus is the scooped neckline, which I also tend to prefer.  It’s made from stretch jersey, so easy to wash and iron and it will keep its shape.

So now I just need somewhere to wear my new top.  I like the fact that you can wear this as a casual top, but could also be going out to an event.  I’m really pleased with my new top for a new year!  It’s brightened up my mood no end.

disclaimer:  we were sent this item for the purpose of review, my comments however, remain my own honest opinions

  1. I think it looks lovely and suits you, not a pattern I would have chosen but I think actually I would give it a try. I never think to look in Bonmarche but have a look while I am out today!

I'd love to hear from you and try to reply to all comments
