Just Right for Two

Just Right for Two – a book review

Just Right for TwoNow for something rather sweet, Just Right for Two is the first of two books I shall be reviewing that are written by Tracey Corderoy.

Just Right for TwoJust Right for Two is a 32 page paperback picture book which was published last summer.  It features lovely illustrations throughout by Rosalind Beardshaw.  Aimed at children over 3 years of age, it’s a heartwarming tale of unexpected friendship.

We meet Dog and his suitcase full of treasures, he immediately struck a chord with my 4 year old Monkey as they both have special pine cones.  Monkey has a whole host of them, collected from near and far.  He liked the fact that Dog liked sticks too!  Dog was quite happy with his own company and his little blue suitcase until a Mouse came to stay.

Just Right for TwoRather reluctantly Dog showed Mouse his treasures and then agreed to one game of hide and seek.  Before long Mouse was off on his way, but nothing seemed quite right anymore in Dog’s world.  What could be missing?

Just Right for Two really is a lovely read, we’ve thoroughly enjoyed it, and it’s been a firm favourite at bedtime since it arrived.

disclaimer:  we were sent this book for the purpose of review, our comments however remain our own honest opinions.
