Fruit Bowl snacks – a review

Fruit Bowl Snacks

You may remember that Monkey recently got to try out the new Fruit Bowl Fruit Shapes, they did go down rather well.  Well we’ve subsequently been enjoying a whole host of Fruit Bowl snacks, we’ve even shared some with Monkey’s NCT buddies.

I was going to have one very happy Monkey on my hands! We received Fruit Peelers, School Bars, Fruit Flakes, Yogurt Fruit Flakes and Yogurt Raisins in various flavours.

The Fruit Flakes are available in 5 flavours – Raspberry, Strawberry, Orange, Tropical and Blackcurrant and come in 20g bags.  They’ve definitely been a favourite here with Monkey, and they can be classed as one of his 5 a day, packed full of real fruit and only using natural colours and flavours.

The School Bars are 20g bars available in Strawberry, Blackcurrant, Apple and Raspberry flavours.  They are made of  apple puree with concentrated apple, pear and strawberry juice and contain only naturally occurring sugars.  The Fruit Peelers are similar and come in Strawberry, Raspberry and Blackcurrant flavours strips.

I thought the Yogurt Fruit Flakes and Yogurt Raisins would be Monkey’s favourites, but he actually wasn’t that keen on them.  One of his buddies loves them though, so they’ve found a good home!

Not only will Monkey be happy with his range of Fruit Bowl snacks, but I’ve also noticed a recipe page on the website, so he might just find some of his snacks end up in some muffins some time soon!

The full range of Fruit Bowl snacks are available from all the main supermarkets.  They really are a great idea for lunch boxes and picnics, and also a handy size for having in your handbag.  Monkey and his friends give them a big thumbs up.
