Project 365 Week 18

Joining in with TheBoyAndMe and her linky 365 Project  A Photo A Day, Every Day, For A Year!  Project 365 – Week 18 Days 117-123.

Sunday 27th April – Day 117

Project 365 Week 18We had a day at home doing jobs and Monkey and I played hide and seek with his new Safari Building blocks from Bigjigs.

Monday 28th April – Day 118

https://www.brewersfayrebonusclub.co.uk/group/brewers/spend-points

Monkey did really well again at his swimming lesson, no fuss when it was time for his to go with teacher.  I think we really have turned a corner.  He struggles a bit with swimming on his back.  Doesn’t like getting his ears in the water, I know that feeling!

Tuesday 29th April – Day 119

Project 365 Week 18

Time to get out in the garden and get planting!  Our seedlings were ready for planting out and Monkey was definitely in charge.  It was a pleasure watching him take control.  His grandparents will be impressed.

Wednesday 30th April – Day 120

Project 365 Week 18

I’ve not been feeling great for a while, went to the Doctors last week, thinking I was starting the menopause.  She’s not convinced so off for a load of blood tests.

Thursday 1st May – Day 121

Project 365 Week 18

Monkey’s Auntie and Uncle are currently cruising on the Queen Mary.  I’m a strong believer in the written word and have always loved postcards, especially as a child.  I’d asked them before they went if they would send Monkey a postcard on their travels.  It’s something I always did with my brothers children.  He got his first postcard from Sri Lanka earlier in the week and then this one arrived from Singapore.  He has been so excited about them.  Even more so as they both have a S – slither down the snake Mummy!!!  My boy is starting to recognise his letters!!

Friday 2nd May – Day 122

Project 365 Week 18

Monkey makes me laugh, he will only drink milk through a straw.  The colour of the straw should be red, but this photo took me back to my childhood. Watch out! Watch out! Humphrey’s about!  You need to be of a certain age to know what on earth I’m talking about.  Brownie points if you do!  My swimming lesson went well, getting to grips with Front Crawl and breathing, enjoyed it.  Made up for the day from hell with the blog, Jetpack no longer working, lots of functionality gone, widgets disappeared and on and on 🙁

Saturday 3rd May – Day 123

Project 365 Week 18

I didn’t get to bed until 1.30am trying to catch up on some blog commenting, then Monkey decided to get into my bed to wake me up at 5.50am.  He’s never awake that early!! Yawn. We spent a lovely, relaxing day with Auntie Sheba.  Monkey made a story book from stickers and kept us both entertained.  Early night needed!

  1. Lovely photos, I especially like Monkey with his postcard 🙂 Hope your test results are OK.

  2. I can just imagine Monkey being super excited about the postcards, it’s always so great to receive them. 8. Postcards and letters through the post are great for kids.

Great about the swimming corner he’s turned. Happens so often, and then the next minute, it’s unrecognisable that they ever had a moan about something. Good luck with the bloods.

  9. I was obsessed with that ad! Children are so strange with their little habits aren’t they?

  10. It makes me sad that people don’t really send postcards anymore. Yay for starting to recognise letters too 🙂

Hope your test results don’t take long and give you some answers x

  11. Getting post is very exciting I think! Anything arrives for my wee man though and he thinks it’s a present 🙂 Hope you are not suffering from anything too serious.

  12. I love postcards. I love getting some for a photo album or scrap book of any holiday we’ve been on. Hope you are feeling better soon!

  13. Love this. My daughter only wants to drink through a straw too! Monkey is getting so big now…. looks grown up! Hope you feel better soon and it’s nothing to worry about…. And I too been having blog tech problems (as you know) silly stupid wordpress lol

  14. Hope your tests find nothing untoward.
Love that MOnkey has to drink milk through a straw. Our grandson won’t drink anything unless it’s warm!

  15. I hope that the tests results come back with something simple and straightforward?
