Tilda Mums Helping Mums

Tilda are working with the World Food Programme with the Mums Helping Mums campaign; which is now in its third year.  So far over 1 million meals have been provided to those in need.

We are proud to continue our partnership with the World Food Programme for the third year running. We will be providing a nutrition-boosting meal for an expectant mother in the developing world, for every pack of Tilda Pure Basmati sold. Low birth weight can seriously affect a babies’ physical and cognitive development. The meal we donate with your help keeps a Mum and her unborn child healthy – giving them the best start in life.

Tilda Mums Helping Mums

To support this really worthwhile cause Tilda Mums Helping Mums campaign have published an online recipe book featuring celebrity Mums.  It’s free! and you can download your own copy here.

I’ve downloaded my copy and decided to try Cumin Chicken, a recipe by actress Nina Wadia (Zainab Masood – Eastenders).

The recipe was really easy to follow and I served it with the Tilda Basmati rice.  The meal got the big thumbs up from the whole family.  We tend to eat brown rice, so this made a really nice change, and we’ll definately be cooking Basmati rice more often now.  It was really easy to cook and tasted great.

Why note download the recipe book for yourself and try something new.  Let me know if you do 🙂

disclaimer:  we were sent this product to be able to produce our meal.

About Over 40 and a Mum to One

A Mum with a 9 year old son, enjoying life and having fun as my son travels through school life. We love to get outdoors whenever possible and make the most of the world around us. We have a cat called Brewster who makes appearances and I’m a mad Ferrari Formula 1 fan, so that expect to hear about as each season unfolds. We love reviewing days out, toys, games and books and would love the opportunity to look at anything that fits in with our family lifestyle. We are always out and about and offering an insight on the places we visit, with a passion for nature thrown in for good measure.
