Joining in with TheBoyAndMe and her linky 365 Project A Photo A Day, Every Day, For A Year! Project 365 – Week 22 Days 145-151.
Sunday 25th May – Day 145
We left home nice and early to avoid the traffic and drove down to the coast to visit Bournemouth Wheels Festival. We had a great day. Monkey doesn’t cope well with noise, but with his ear defenders on, he loved watching the Monster Truck display. He also got his first glimpse of an old Formula One car. Start them young!
Monday 26th May – Day 146
We decided to have a home day today, Monkey had his swimming lesson in the afternoon. He really loves it when Daddy P can come and watch too. Kept waving over, which was cute. Afterwards we let him watch some of his favourite Tractor Ted DVD’s whilst I prepared dinner. You can see how much he enjoys them from his face!
Tuesday 27th May – Day 147
We went up to Derbyshire to spend the day with my best friend. We spent the afternoon on a Nature Treasure Hunt.
Wednesday 28th May – Day 148
We went to the Natural History Museum in Oxford with friends for the day. The kids all loved spotting the numerous dinosaur skeletons. We went upstairs to see the minibeast exhibits and found a number of Guru Gramps’s collection on display. A proud and rather emotional moment for me. More on that when my blog is properly functional again in the week!
Thursday 29th May – Day 149
Every year we met one of Guru Gramps’ cousins at Whipsnade Zoo for the day. We love it there; it’s very walkable and they’d made loads of alterations over the winter. You can now walk above the giraffes.
Friday 30th May – Day 150
We were both in need of a quiet day at home after a really busy week. We watched some DVD’s, played Zoo’s; Monkey gave birth to a Rhino – you really had to be here for that one. He got a surprise in the post in the shape of some Magno-Z.
Saturday 31st May – Day 151
Looking very smart – we’re off to see Postman Pat the Movie today. It will be Monkey’s first trip to the cinema. I’m feeling nervous already; he doesn’t cope well with noise (yes I really have packed ear plugs!) and new environments. Really hoping that one of his favourite characters will help him get over his fears. Wish me luck!
What a busy week! Monkey really does seem to be growing up so fast! Lovely photos.
Manic as always!
Busy week. Was lovely to catch up with you at the Wheels Festival
Hope the cinema visit went well.. First time is always a bit fraught..:)
