Zoe and Beans Pirate Treasure!

Zoe and Beans Pirate Treasure! – a book review

Anything that involves Chloe and Mick Inkpen and treasure is going to be good isn’t it! Zoe and Beans is a lovely series of picture books in board and paperback format. We recently reviewed a couple of Zoe and Beans books and were thrilled when the latest offering popped through our letterbox recently.  Zoe and Beans Pirate Treasure! was published on 5th June.

Zoe and Beans Pirate Treasure! We meet up with Zoe, her dog Beans, her best friend Oscar and his little sister Evie.  They are off to the beach for the day.

Zoe and Oscar are busy building a sandcastle but Evie has spotted something shining in the sunshine. What could it be? Treasure!  This find starts the group on their adventure; searching for buried pirate treasure.  We follow them to rock pools, an island and into a cave.  But, although they find a few things, they don’t find their pirate treasure.

But they have Beans with them and he has picked up the scent!  Zoe and Beans Pirate Treasure! is a lovely book, just as you would expect from this father and daughter team. Monkey has grown up with Mick Inkpen and these new books are a delight.

We’d recommend the series to anyone with young children, you can’t go wrong.  Zoe and Beans Pirate Treasure! has inspired Monkey to go on his own treasure hunt – just as well we have some chocolate coins for him to find!
