Monkey enjoys some Trunki time – part 2

Monkey enjoys some Trunki time

If you’ve read yesterday’s post you will know that Monkey is in love with his new Trunkisaurus Rex suitcase.  Today I am showing you his other new Trunki love – his Paddlepak.

He surprised me with his choice of Paddlepak backpack; I’d expected him to go for Fin the Shark, but he decided he wanted the Nemo lookalike Chuckles the Clown Fish.  He’d certainly stand out in a crowd, so that would be no bad thing for our Spanish adventures.

We’d filled Monkey’s new Chuckles the Clown Fish Paddlepak with his favourite cars and sticker books for the plane journey.  It was packed inside his Trunki suitcase, and then once on board the plane the Paddlepak and it’s contents kept him amused whilst the case went in the overhead locker.

It’s fair to say that Chuckles was attached to Monkey’s back for the rest of our trip – our first for a back pack.  Normally Mummy ends up carrying them within a matter of minutes of leaving the house!

The Paddlepak comes with some lovely features, we all loved Chuckles fins.  It’s water-resistant, so great as a beach or swimming bag and is also really lightweight compared to other backpacks we’ve tried in the past.  You roll the top of the Chuckles over three times and clip him up with the break away safety buckle, to keep all the contents safe and secure and dry should it start to rain.

I am in the process of organising an auction to raise funds for Brain Tumour Charity/Brain tumour UK. The funds will be paid onto https://www.justgiving.com/lesleyglover55/ we have been raising money for the past 5 years and have already raised £35,190.00 to help young people and their families who are going through this awful life taking cancer. I personally help to raise the funds because of the loss of my beautiful friend Hollie Bell, on the 5th June 2008 Hollie sadly lost her fight against this cancer. Hollie was only 23 and full of life until in June 2007 when she found she had a brain tumour, she had an operation to remove some of the tumour then spent the next year on chemo and radiotherapy but sadly the tumour took hold again and we lost her. We are looking for donations of gift or services that we can auction off to raise vital funds, the auction will take place from 1st November 2014 for seven days as an online auction to enable a wider audience. The Paddlepak have adjustable shoulder straps, with high visibility reflective strips and a ‘grip’ which could be used to secure sunglasses or a favourite soft toy perhaps.  There is also a secret zip up pocket for treasure!

The back of the Paddlepak is cushioned making it comfortable for my little explorer to carry around.  There is also space on the inside of the bag to write a name and contact number should the bag get mislaid.

Monkey enjoys some Trunki time and I’ve enjoyed watching him.  He’s taken responsibility for his luggage and he’s really made good use of his Paddlepak.  It’s the perfect size for a nearly 5-year-old Monkey.

The Chuckles the Clown Fish Paddlepak is priced at £19.99, it’s durable, lightweight and Monkey loves his.  It’s a hit.

  1. We love our paddlepak too – we usually use it for swimming, but it does seem more comfortable for them to wear – I think it’s because they’re soft and narrow for their backs.

  2. I am a huge Trunki fan, and the Paddlepak is genius – I love how they make kids actually want to carry things lol! Thanks for linking up with #TriedTested

  3. Another trunki fan here! I love them, and how could you not! Fab review and great photos! #triedandtested x
