Having met the Gruffalo earlier this year in the deep dark woods, Monkey has become an even bigger fan of his! So when we had the chance to try the Gruffalo Games app on my iPhone I knew it would go down well.
The Gruffalo Games app is aimed at children aged from 3-7 years, and it features 6 different games and puzzles. There is also no need for in app purchases – always a bonus. The games have been great for Monkey to work on his hand eye coordination and reaction times and he loves puzzles.
The six games/puzzles are – 3 in a Row, Help Mouse catch nuts, Jigsaw Puzzles, Snap, Marching Bugs and Pairs.
Monkey has really enjoyed getting to grips with the Gruffalo Games app. They certainly kept him amused on a recent train journey. Snap was a particular favourite, as Monkey could play by himself or let Daddy P play the part of the Gruffalo.
Being a little puzzler he loved the jigsaw puzzles too, putting together the puzzles of some of his all time favourite characters has been fun to watch.
I love the 3 in a Row as noughts and crosses is a timeless classic, and Marching Bugs is great for getting Monkey to concentrate to concentrate on letters, shapes, sequencing and numbers. A great educational game in my opinion. Matching Pairs is another great game for working on observation skills.
The Gruffalo Games app is available for Apple appliances for £2.99 and aimed at the under 5’s. Monkey will be 5 in December but I can still see him enjoying the games on this app for some time to come. Any Gruffalo fan is going to love this app.
