Joining in with TheBoyAndMe and her linky 365 Project A Photo A Day, Every Day, For A Year! Project 365 – Week 48 Days 327-333. Excuse the picture quality as used my phone this week.
Sunday 23rd November – Day 327
We met up with Redpeffer and her family for the day at Evesham Country Park. Our husbands got to meet for the first time. We couldn’t miss the opportunity to go on the steam train could we! Afterwards we went for a walk in the park – lots of muddy puddles. Little did we know that Monkey had rather large muddy puddles in his wellies until we went back to the car! Something went amiss with our waterproofing so he had to sit in his pants wrapped in a fleece on the journey home. He didn’t care, he’d had a lovely time!
Monday 24th November – Day 328
Monkey had a busy day at school. I went to my sewing machine class and a piece of plush fleece type fabric gave myself and my teacher a few grey hairs! We conquered it in the end and project B is well under way. After school Monkey decided it was time for some serious Trackmaster building.
Tuesday 25th November – Day 329
Monkey did well in his swimming lesson and came home to work on some Christmas art whilst I cooked dinner.
Wednesday 26th November – Day 330
Really enjoyed my Jado Chi session and came home determined to finish all the outlining on my cross stitch project. Now to make it into a stocking so it can actually be filled with presents for Monkey this Christmas.
Thursday 27th November – Day 331
A busy day Christmas and Birthday shopping whilst Monkey was at school! After school Monkey and I were invited round to one of his classmate’s houses to celebrate Thanksgiving with them. We had a delicious meal and I got to eat pumpkin pie for the first time – yummy! It was so nice to be invited to spend time with friends and we thoroughly enjoyed our first Thanksgiving celebrations. It meant a late night for Monkey and a few cuddles with a new friend at bedtime.
Friday 28th November – Day 332
I left my brain in bed and went out for the morning, totally forgetting I was supposed to met up with an old friend – aargh! We had a special and rather exciting delivery – our very own #TowerPoppy. It might crack in frost so we think we will plant it in the garden next year when the weather is better. Think the flower itself might live in my display case until then. Monkey enjoyed a dress down day at school and came home to play knights with his castle and new siege tower. One happy boy.
Saturday 29th November – Day 333
Monkey had an unsettled night, which meant I did too, we have breakfast in bed this morning. Luckily I had no plans for the day, so we crafted, played games, had small world play time and I baked another Maple Syrup and Banana Loaf. Early night needed.
How exciting to have your own poppy! Your cross stitch looks amazing!
It was lovely to unwrap it!
Wow well done on your cross stitch, I’m not sure I would have the patience for that. That looks like a cute new addition there, think a very similar one has come to visit us.
Thanks, it will be the turning it into a stocking that will be the challenge.
How wonderful to have a poppy. Glad you enjoyed Thanksgiving, pumpkin pie is yummy, isn’t it 🙂
Pumpkin pie is so lush! We are thrilled to have our own poppy.
What a precious flower to have. Keep it out of the frost! Love the cross stitch picture – very traditional 🙂
Yes, think we will keep it indoors until next year
Love your cross stitch! I should pick it up soon! I love doing them!
I’m jealous your poppy! They are so pretty!
Thank you
Great minds think alike riding trains last Sunday Mary! Love that Tower Poppy and wish we’d got one now! Extraordinary experience seeing them in London! Love monkeys new teddy x
Yes, your day out looked fab!
That is beautiful cross-stitching!
Thank you
busy week then lovely, I am so loving your cross stitch i would love to be able to do that!
Thanks, anyone can do cross stitch – you just follow a chart really x
Crikey that cross stitch must have taken ages. I did a random felt stocking for N – complete with a bit of stitching and applique. About my limit, but all hand stitched and it’s lasted well so far.
It’s taken years longer than it should have done! I used to do them all the time before Monkey joined us.
Looks like you are getting into the Christmas spirit. Love your crossstitch.
Thank you
that cross stitch looks amazing, well done you, I use to enjoy it and made the older 2 very nice quilts for when they were born, sadly eyesight not good enough any more and the hands get sore as well ( yes yes I know I am getting old)
Glad you mastered the material, look forward to seeing what you are making.
He colours very well for his age, Bob’s colouring has improved since he got his glasses.
