Project 365 - Week 51

Project 365 – Week 51

Joining in with TheBoyAndMe and her linky 365 Project  A Photo A Day, Every Day, For A Year!  Project 365 – Week 51 Days 348-354. How much harder is it to do this with a school boy!!

Sunday 14th December – Day 348

Project 365 - Week 51

In the morning we had our annual NCT Secret Santa get together.  We met in the soft play area at our local garden centre and shock horror, Monkey went in without me!!  The first time ever.  It was a revelation.  He had a great time with all of his lifelong friends.  We then took over an area of the restaurant so the kids could have lunch together and open their Secret Santa gifts.  Then it was home and time to put the tree up.  Monkey loved helping me  decorate the tree.  We went to Brewers Fayre for dinner to review their Festive Menu.

Monday 15th December – Day 349

Project 365 - Week 51

The Lego obsession has begun, he did get quite a lot of it last week for his birthday. We are going to have so much fun!  I finished my sewing machine class for the year and really hope my friend likes what I’ve made for the twins when I see her next week. Eek!

Father Christmas came round on his sleigh – I still love it now.  Monkey was a bit braver than last year, but was happiest watching him from our bedroom window.  But he was waving like mad the whole time.  He believes 🙂

Tuesday 16th December – Day 350

Project 365 - Week 51

Whilst Monkey was at school I assembled the gingerbread house.  Yes I cheated and bought a kit.  I’m going for stress free options at the moment and although this is far from brilliant Monkey loves it and that’s all that matters to me.  Looks like Berry the Elf likes it too.  One very tired Monkey had a meltdown before swimming but loved it once he was there.  How many day til the end of term????

Wednesday 17th December – Day 351

Project 365 - Week 51

I had my hair cut and coloured in the morning and we had a Skype session with Granny and Gramps.  It’s a nightmare, we just can’t get the video call to work properly on the laptop or my mobile so always end up turning that option off.  Wish I could figure out what the problem is.  Daddy P was around to have dinner with us along with Teddy and half the school’s junk modelling!

Thursday 18th December – Day 352

Project 365 - Week 51

We’d been asked to go into school early this afternoon so the children could sing us some Christmas songs.  Monkey’s been practicing all week and he was so pleased to see me.  He sang his little heart out and kept moving to make sure I could see him.  It was just lovely. When we got home it was time for silly Santa hats.  Every year I’ve tried getting a photo of him in this hat for our Christmas cards, it’s taken so long.  The one year I’ve already done something different and he decides to pose.  Children!

Friday 19th December – Day 353

Project 365 - Week 51

Schools out for Christmas!  Can you tell??  We’ve both been counting down the hours until this afternoon.  Whilst Monkey was at school I did some baking, and got the Turkey for the big day.  Now Bicester Village can bring the town to a standstill again, oh wait, they’ll have decent traffic measures in place this year …… we will see.

Saturday 20th December – Day 354 Project 365 Week 51

We had a lie in this morning – bliss.  Then headed over to our Special Sheba’s house for the day.  Monkey got busy turning her house into Santa’s Grotto.  We had lunch out at our favourite haunt and then headed back for more Christmas mayhem.  Home for tea and a veg in front of CBeebies on the TV.  This boy is still worn out after his first term at school. A quiet day at home tomorrow beckons.

  1. Great photos – we are so glad it’s the holidays too – my sis and bro are exhausted! Santa visited our close tonight – I broke out into a hot sweat! I am only 2 though! #365 x

  2. Sounds like a busy week. We know all about Lego obsession. H loves it so much. We are planning to do a kit gingerbread house this week – life is too busy sometimes to do anything else.

  3. will be nice to get a few weeks of chill time. Do parents not feel that maybe so much for children to after school and at weekends is not always for the best, I know Fifi has masses of stuff on and is often tired as well.
The gingerbread house looks good and I adore the pic of him in the Santa hat

  4. So weird, that’ll be me saying ‘end of term’ next year. N’s nursery school has finished, but his day nursery finishes on 24th.

Busy week – nice that you guys did your NCT meet up. We’ve not had a Christmas one this year which was a shame. Just too many busy weekends for everyone.

  5. We finally finished for the holidays here today, huge relief! Looks like you had a good week, we love lego too 🙂 Love the hat and the selfie is lovely xx Have a wonderful Christmas x

  6. I can’t believe how much he’s grown up over the past year, looks so much more grown up now. That selfie of the pair of you is brilliant, so genuine and happy.

Thanks for linking up to Project 365.

I'd love to hear from you and try to reply to all comments
