Back to School in 2015

Project 365 – Week 52

Joining in with TheBoyAndMe and her linky 365 Project  A Photo A Day, Every Day, For A Year!  Project 365 – Week 52 Days 355-365.

Sunday 21st December – Day 355

Project 365 Week 52

Schools out so time for Mummy to get a really nasty cold – great.  I felt dreadful so whilst Daddy P was around I retreated to bed.  Luckily I remembered to set Berry the Elf some tractor homework.

Monday 22nd December – Day 356

Project 365 Week 52

As I was full of germs I cancelled our visit to meet my friends little twin babies.  We had a quiet day at home with some Christmas crafting.  It was nice to see Monkey really enjoy himself, he really hasn’t been keen on crafting after school.

Tuesday 23rd December – Day 357

Project 365 Week 52

Still feeling lousy we had a day of playing games and had a picnic lunch in the living room.

Wednesday 24th December – Day 358

Project 365 Week 52

One very excited Monkey!  It’s nearly Christmas Day Mummy!!  Daddy P finished work just in time to join us for the Crib Service at the church.  I tried to persuade Monkey to wear his Shepherd’s outfit but he wasn’t having any of it.  We met up with family and the magic began.  It was dark by the time the service finished so perfect timing for sprinkling some reindeer food when we got home.  Berry had left us to return to Lapland but he’d left Monkey a Christmas box full of goodies and a cross stitch stocking (funny that!) and a Monkey Elf for our Monkey to keep.  One super excited little boy went to bed with his stocking by his bed.  Will he come Mummy?  I hope so Monkey.

Thursday 25th December – Day 359

Project 365 Week 52

Monkey slept through til gone 7am and then it was Mummy!!  He’s been, my stocking is full of things.  He was so excited, it was wonderful to watch.  Then he opened the bedroom curtains and started to cry.  What’s the matter?  It hasn’t snowed Mummy.  The look on his face!  Never mind, we will have to build a snowman another day.  Do you think Father Christmas has left you anything downstairs?  A quick text to Spain to get Granny and Gramps on Skype and the present unwrapping could commence.  I think their present was a hit.  We had a lush Christmas Dinner and a bottle of Prosecco seemed to banish the last of the germs – yippee! A day of Lego building and Playmobil wore one little boy out.

Friday 26th December – Day 360

Project 365 Week 52

We had a chilled out morning at home before heading to Daddy P’s sister’s for the afternoon.  Monkey played with his new Rocket train and took his new Excavator to show off to his Auntie and Uncle.  Another Christmas stocking full of goodies awaited him.  My SIL makes a fantastic Pavlova – yummy!

Saturday 27th December – Day 361

Project 365 Week 52

Monkey and I really needed to get some fresh air after being cooped up for a week.  We spent a couple of hours walking around Stowe Gardens with Monkey’s Auntie and Uncle. It was really cold but Monkey loved a bit of muddy puddle jumping and we all enjoyed a nice warm drink and cake at the end of our walk.

Sunday 28th December – Day 362

Project 365 Week 52

We met up with Iona from Redpeffer and her family for lunch in Stratford-upon-Avon. After eating we headed down to the river to see the ducks and swans and popped into the RSC.  The temperature dropped really quickly so it was soon time to head home.  Can’t believe I didn’t take one photo!  Anyway, we got home to a rather grumpy Brewster who had been outside – he wasn’t impressed and soon took up residence on the bed.

Monday 29th December – Day 363

Project 365 Week 52

Another home day, playing with birthday and Christmas presents.  A bit of learning along the way.

Tuesday 30th December – Day 364

Project 365 Week 52

We spent the morning having fun with more presents.  We made some Mister Maker people from a kit Monkey was given by an NCT buddy for his birthday and then moved onto a Dino Egg set from Christmas.  He busily excavated his latest T-Rex from his egg. He had great fun. We then popped over to visit my brother and his family for a few hours. Monkey decided to be a total cling on but he did get to play on his Uncle’s keyboards.

Wednesday 31st December – Day 365

Project 365 Week 52

I’m not a big fan of New Years Eve to be totally honest, I’m much happier on New Years Day.  Daddy P will be working til late so no wild partying here.  Monkey and I decided to take the Christmas Tree down and pack away the decorations so we can start 2015 with a fresh start.

We’ve completed out first Project 365, see you in 2015!
