Project 365 2015 Week 2

Project 365 2015 Week 2

Joining in with TheBoyAndMe and her linky 365 Project  A Photo A Day, Every Day, For A Year!  Project 365 2015 – Week 2 Days 4-10.

Sunday 4th January – Day 4

Project 365 2015 Week 2

After a quiet morning at home I really needed to sort all the birthday and Christmas presents to make the house look less like a toy shop and more like a home!  I despatched Daddy P and Monkey to a model railway exhibition for the afternoon, put my new Take That CD on and got on with the job in hand.  The boys had a great time and Monkey decided to do some drawing on his white board when they got back.  We are actually getting pictures now rather than scribble – progress.

Monday 5th January – Day 5

Project 365 2015 Week 2

It was inset day for us and as Iona from Redpeffer and her family were also off, but without a car, we drove up the motorway and spent the day watching Cars and playing with trains.  Monkey spent his normal couple of hours clinging to me (yes even with people he knows) before he finally let go and just enjoyed playing with his friend.  Of course, by the end of the day he didn’t want to go home.  Once home, we had a quick dinner and then it was chill out time whilst I got his uniform ready for the morning.  The holidays were nearly over.  He was less than impressed.

Tuesday 6th January – Day 6

Project 365 2015 Week 2

Back to school meant setting the alarm clock.  Blimey, that was a bit of a shock for both of us.  I had to wake Monkey up at 7.30 or we’d never have been out of the door on time.  It was really sad that the holidays were over, Monkey certainly didn’t want to go back to school.  He made it through the day and then it was off for his first swimming lesson of the year.  He wasn’t keen on that either and you could see that he was letting the instructor know too. As soon as we got home it was straight down to some construction whilst I got dinner sorted.  We nearly got home before it was totally dark – yippee!  Lighter days are coming.

Wednesday 7th January – Day 7

 Project 365 2015 Week 2

Whilst Monkey was at school I went to my first Jado Chi session of the year, I’d only had a few lessons and then missed 4 weeks with nativity plays, other appointments and Christmas holidays.  It was a really good session and I always leave feeling calm and ready to tackle the world!  We had a great delivery which took me right back to my childhood – Spirograph.

When I picked Monkey up from school, he was full of chatter and wanted to go for a long walk home.  So that’s exactly what we did, rain clouds behaved and we had a lovely chat about all sorts of nonsense.  When we got home Monkey spotted the Spirograph and wanted to have a go.  Once he got the hang of it, he was away.  A big hit.

Thursday 8th January – Day 8

Project 365 2015 Week 2

Excuse the quality of this shot, I just got there in time with my phone.  Yes, Brewster has found a new play area – sighs!  Cat’s are not supposed to like water – no one has told Brewster.  In other news, we had a knackered tap replaced in the kitchen, years of Daddy P over-tightening it had taken its toll.  We now have a lovely new mixer tap with nothing for him to break (hopefully).

Friday 9th January – Day 9  Project 365 2015 Week 2

Monkey set up camp on my bed this morning with some of his favourite books whilst I got dressed.  It was show and tell at school and as the theme of the term is dinosaurs he took in some photos from our museum trips from last year.  I got the material for my next sewing project and picked up a passport form – we get to say goodbye to Monkey’s baby photo passport.  His passport expires next month and we’ve booked flights to visit Granny and Gramps in June.

Back to swimming for me after 2 weeks off, went better than expected.

Saturday 10th January – Day 10  Project 365 2015 Week 2

It had blown a gale all night, Monkey slept through it, I didn’t.  We settled for a lazy day at home so there was no hurry for Monkey to get out of pj’s.  Time for a shark attack with one of his birthday presents.

  1. Miss A’s passport will expire before we next go away, so there will be no more toddler photo for customs to compare with her seven year old face.

  2. I did giggle at the cat in the shower lol. It’s lovely when you start to get pictures rather than scribbles isn’t it?

  3. I used to love my spirograph!! Getting up to an alarm is never nice, roll on half term 😉 x

  4. We also struggled with getting up early for school. Well done to Monkey for moving from scribbles to pictures! And aww, Brewster, what a place to play!

  5. I found it a bit of a nightmare getting my two to wake up earlier this week for school too! Great shots of monkey enjoying himself at home.

  6. I’ve noticed the nights getting a bit lighter too – it makes me feel positive! I don’t know much about cats, but I must say I’m surprised to see one in the shower!

  7. I think I struggle more getting up in the morning than N!

I used to love my spirography. Cool that it’s still around and as good as before.

  8. I didn’t want to go back to school either so I know exactly how monkey felt – hopefully back in the swing of things now! I like how you do plenty of classes for yourself, I must do something too this year.

  9. wind here has been horrendous as well. Love his digger jumper. Its sad sometimes that they take that long to settle it is time to go home before they have had chance to have some fun.
Great pic of the cat, we had one, Arnold, when the girls were young that loved to go in the bath with them, you had to watch him closely or he would jump in.

  10. The first week back is always a bit of a shock isn’t it though I was glad to get back into routine. Monkey’s drawing is really coming on, it looks great!

  11. Some great action shots of monkey this week. I remember my lot taking AGES to settle in new homes too. Lovely that you live so close to Iona 🙂

  12. I have already started to notice that it is getting a teeny bit lighter. Monkey is getting so much more grown up now. I used to love my spirograph! I don’t think you will ever catch our cat near the shower! Brave Brewster! #Project365

  13. Aww lovely pictures of Monkey. It’s almost sad when they need a new passport, knowing how much they’ve changed since the last one. The wind kept me awake too! x

  14. Glad he settled back into school, always difficult after time off.
I like the look of the new Spirograph.
