The B&W Photography Project Week 27 with PODCast and I’ve picked this flower from our trip to Nuffield Place last summer. You can read all about out trip in yesterday’s #CountryKids post. But whilst I was editing the photos for that post I was trying to decide what would work in black and white, this was a favourite.
The flower is white anyway, but the petals remind my of ‘that’ dress from the Marilyn Monroe film The Seven Year Itch. I love the crispness.
But this one gives a texture that you don’t see in the colour photo. Almost looks like a sponge.
Both are gorgeous but I really like the texture in the second one. xx
Thank you
Oh yeah! Saw the skirt in this flower. There’s movement isn’t it? #bwphotoproject
It is isn’t it
I can’t begin to tell you how much I love flowers in black and white, the detail is always so beautiful and these pictures are simply stunning! #bwphotoproject
Yes I’m realising that myself
Oh I do love your blooms in monochrome, they look wonderful. It’s amazing how much detail and texture you get as a result. Fabulous photos. Thank you so much for sharing and joining in #bwphotoproject
Thank you
I think flowers work really well in black and white, you really do see lines and texture that are missed in colour. Love both these images x
Thank you
