Monster Party

Monster Party – a book review

Today’s book review brings you Monster Party, written and illustrated by Annie Bach.  It’s a lovely hardback picture book full of rhyming text.

Monster Party

Mummy, I don’t want to read a book about Monsters!  But Monkey, look they are smiling, I really don’t think they are scary monsters.  Shall I check first?

So after checking and confirming that there was nothing for this timid 5 year old to be worried about, we settled down to read Monster Party.

In fact this 24 page picture book is really rather funny. We follow a little blue Monster as he gets an invite to a party.  What will he wear?  What fun will he have at the party?

Monkey started to giggle and I knew everything was ok.  Especially when he saw what monsters eat at their parties!

Monster Party

Mummy, the monsters are eating bug pizza!  I like pizza!  As you can see, there isn’t much text on each page, so it’s a great book to read with younger children and Monkey can try to read some of the words to me too.

We followed the little monster as he enjoyed all sorts of party fun, he’s had such a good time he doesn’t want the party to end.

Monster Party is a lovely, simple picture book and we’ve enjoyed reading it.  Priced at £7.99 this hardback book is available from Amazon (see my affiliate link below) and all major bookstores.
