Keeping warm with Didriksons

Keeping warm with Didriksons

Last year Monkey lived in his Didriksons jacket and waterproof trousers all Spring and Autumn.  They are durable and still look as good as new.  But with the colder winter months I felt he needed something a little more substantial.  Not a problem!  He will still be keeping warm with Didriksons.  This time, with his lovely Nallo Kids Jacket in Cardinal Red.

The quality of this Nallo Kids jacket is just as I’ve come to expect from Didriksons and I also love the expandable seams on the arms.  As Monkey grows his new jacket can grow with him.  We went for the 110 size (4-5 years) as I have found Didriksons sizing to be quite generous for my just 5 year old Monkey.

The jacket has reflective strips on the sleeves and hood as well as on the front and back, so I know Monkey will be seen if we’re out and about in the dark.

The hood is detachable and users popper fasteners.  It can also be resized with velcro straps on the top of the head and sides for added ‘snugness’ if required.

Monkey has been putting his new jacket through its paces over the last few weeks and he loves it.  We both adore the colour too, red is his favourite colour and it makes him really identifiable in a crowd.

The Nallo is 100% wind and waterproof and it’s kept Monkey warm and dry in all sorts of conditions. I can also confirm that it washes really well.  Monkey came home on Sunday after a day out with friends, caked in mud.  No problem, his jacket looks as good as new and is ready for the next adventure!

It’s worth noting that the side pockets both have covered zip and there is a chin guard (Monkey still remembers the time when I zipped his chin – ouch!).  The hem can be tightened with a pull cord and there are also glove loops in each sleeve.

Didriksons have a wide range of jackets available in a number of colours, which can be found on their website, along with stockist information. The Nallo jacket retails for around £60.00 although it’s currently on offer on Amazon as you can see from my affiliate link below.

We’re both really happy with this jacket and with the Didrikson brand and I can recommend them to anyone looking to keep their kids snug and dry this winter.

  1. It looks like a lovely coat. Can’t believe it’s only a 4-5 as that’s what N would usually wear, but I’m sure it would drown him if it’s still that big for Monkey!

  2. I do like the coat, and red is an excellent colour choice (my favourite too). And I’m impressed it washed away all of that mud-there was a lot!

  3. I’d quite like one of these for myself! Love the bright colour and the reflective detailing – that combined with the weatherproofness sounds ideal for exactly the kind of weather we have at the moment 🙂 I’d not heard of Didriksons before but we’ll definitely check them out next time S needs a coat.
