Project 365 2015 Week 10

Joining in with TheBoyAndMe and her linky Project 365. A Photo A Day, Every Day, For A Year!  Project 365 2015 Week 10 Days 60-66.

Sunday 1st March – Day 60

Project 365 2015 Week 10

After seeing some Instagram photos of PODCast’s recent trip to see the butterflies at RHS Wisley I knew we had to actually get there this year. So the date was pencilled in and off we went.  I used to visit Wisley a lot as a child but it’s been well over 30 years since my last visit. The butterflies didn’t disappoint, but actually seeing Monkey running through the rock garden just as my brother and I had years before was the highlight.

Monday 2nd March – Day 61
Project 365 2015 Week 10

I went off to seeing class to modify a t-shirt to go with Monkey’s pj shorts. The machine didn’t want to play ball though, so we spent most of the lesson trying different things to get it working properly. All good fun.  Spaghetti Bolognese for dinner and of course that means mess alert!

Tuesday 3rd March – Day 62
Project 365 2015 Week 10

Swimming lesson for Monkey and he made it quite obvious he wasn’t in the mood to try kicking let alone swimming.  Disappointing as he was being graded, I’ll get the results on Monday.  When we got home I had a Chuggington app for him to try out on my new iPad mini, so much easier for him to use than my phone.

Wednesday 4th March – Day 63
Project 365 2015 Week 10

Granny’s birthday so we called her to wish her many happy returns before heading off to school. But Monkey then decided it was now my birthday and he made me countless birthday cards!  When then put our finishing touches to Mr Bump for World Book Day.

Thursday 5th March – Day 64

Project 365 2015 Week 10

World Book Day and Monkey took his Mr Bump potato to school.  I then headed down to London for an event with Moonpig launching their Spring collection.  Sometimes blogging is a rather surreal experience; one minute you’re in the Sky Bar of a Holborn hotel looking out across the city skyline and the next you are legging it up the road from the station to get home in time to pick Monkey up.  It was a really enjoyable day, more to come on that soon.

Friday 6th March – Day 65

Project 365 2015 Week 10

I got some work done in the morning and then met friends for lunch. The weekend starts as soon as I collect Monkey from school on a Friday.  We chatted away on the way home and then caught up with the news from Spain with Granny and Gramps on Skype.  Then it was tickle time! My swimming lesson was a bit hit and miss, think I left my brain at home this evening.

Saturday 7th March – Day 66

Project 365 2015 Week 10

We had a lazy morning watching CBeebies in bed and I woke up with a stiff neck – ouch! We got Monkey’s homework out-of-the-way – Maths, so he was happy to concentrate on his number lines.  Then it was tidy up time – the living room looks like a cross between a toy shop and a building site.  It was meant to be a two-man job, but I think someone forgot to tell Monkey.  Mummy, I’m just having some quiet time!

  1. Sounds like you had a nice week, I hope the swimming grade isn’t too bad. Glad our front room isn’t the only one that looks like a toy shop and a building site. We still haven’t found room for all of those Christmas toys!

  2. His Mr Bump really is great! It sounds like a good week, and how lovely to take Monkey to somewhere you visited as a child x

  3. quiet time is not so bad as long as they are not messing up what you are tidying.
Love the tickle photo, and how annoying that he would not give his best at swimming.
Love Mr Bump, a great make, well done

  4. Love the happy photo of Monkey at RHS Wisley – it must be nice to take him to places you enjoyed as a child. The Mr Bump potato is fabulous! 🙂

  5. Sounds like tidying up in your house is similar to mine. The OH sits and watches (after moaning it’s a mess with all the toys), and N just about puts a couple of items away while I do the rest.

  6. We keep saying we should visit Wisley, but it’s a bit far for a day trip so it requires some organisation. I often find that I am the only one tidying when it’s supposed to be a two person job or I can asked to help H when I’m clearly doing another job.

  7. Lovely Mr Bump! Big well done to Monkey for making it! We also love spaghetti, though Eddie likes his plain, with grated cheese only, or maybe a bit of pesto. Skype is great for families living apart, isn’t it?! Lots of cute photos!

  8. I love the idea of making something for World Book Day rather than dressing up. Monkey looks like he’s doing well with his writing. The Butterfly House at Wisley is an annual treat of ours 🙂 x

  9. Some lovely photos of Monkey – I love the first one it looks as though he is having such a great time!

I'd love to hear from you and try to reply to all comments
