I’ve been joining in with Project 365 since the start of 2014, and been inspired by The Boy and Me to make sure I take a Photo A Day, Every Day, For A Year! She needs to take a break from the linky to concentrate on family and work, so a few of us are looking after the project for a while and running it as a blog hop – please feel free to join in. Project 365 2015 Week 20 Days 130-136.
Sunday 10th May – Day 130
I spent the day out shopping with my youngest niece, getting the last few accessories for her Prom outfit. Doesn’t seem possible that she’s old enough. We both managed to grab a few bargains along the way, and it was lovely to spend some quality time with her, rare these days.
Monkey enjoyed some quality time with Daddy P and when I got home it was time for some fun in the garden with his new play tent. Can you tell that he likes it!
Monday 11th May – Day 131
There has been something going on at school which has caused a few issues, but I got to have a chat with Monkey’s new teacher this morning and she seems to have a handle on it and is putting a few things in place. Monkey came home happier and we have a ‘feeling tree’ now so that hopefully he can tell her and me how he’s feeling. Fingers crossed.
I finished off his Digger toiletry bag in my sewing class. My new machine was causing a lot of issues in the run up to Easter and it is being collected under warranty this week to be looked at. Hopefully I will be able to use it again soon, but at least my teacher can lend me her’s for the class.
Tuesday 12th May – Day 132
Selfies still fascinate Monkey and we had a few laughs before we got to this one. I got on with some writing whilst he was at school and then a quick turnaround for his swimming lesson. The teacher had a word with me before the lesson, he’s stopped trying again hasn’t he, but I think we might move him up anyway. I’ll find out on Monday when I collect his report, if she actually means it! We could finally be heading for stage 2. Watch this space, I think he’s sussed that if doesn’t do the kicking they will push or pull him along – anything for an easy life.
Wednesday 13th May – Day 133
Monkey makes me laugh – he loves phonics but will only ‘read’ his school reading book. Any other book in the house is for me to read to him. This morning he was testing me on my stretchy sounds. We had a fab cardboard rocket delivered, the sun was out and I put it together in the garden so it was ready for when Monkey got home from school – instant hit.
My car finally went into the garage to be repaired, hopefully I should have it back by Friday. I am so lucky that I can manage without one most days.
Thursday 14th May – Day 134
What a difference a day makes? It hammered down pretty much all day. Nothing for it but to get on with some work and try to tidy some of Monkey’s toys away. After school my Mum’s brother and sister popped in for a bite to eat and a catch up. They both live in Kent and we don’t see them anywhere near as much as we should these days. Monkey was on good form and enjoyed having their full attention.
The car is fixed!
Friday 15th May – Day 135
So nice to have my wheels back. Not so nice needing them to get me to the dentists, but just a check up. The gums are behaving well and she was really pleased with me. Happy days. I’ve woken up full of cold, no idea where that came from. Could do with an early night I think. Got a bargain in Sports Direct so Money and I have matching pumps all ready for our holiday, in my favourite shade of blue, of course!
We Skyped Granny and Gramps, Monkey was too grumpy to chat, but wow, a 40 minute conversation on video, without it freezing every 10 seconds, wonderful 🙂
Saturday 16th May – Day 136
A chill out day for me and Monkey as I’m not feeling great. Craft time and chatting and sunshine! Love days with no pressure to be anywhere and do anything. The day has just evolved, Monkey has ‘decorated’ his new rocket and I just had to look away. It definitely not pretty, but he had so much fun. We had a few craft activities to get on top off and even managed to get Monkey’s handwriting homework done – I may need gin later!
Love the photo of Monkey in his mask and so nice to matching shoes! My daughter and I have matching Converse and my husband and younger son have matching Adidas. Sorry to hear there have been some difficulties at school, but good to hear the teacher is dealing with it.
I know, he loved making the mask too.
Sounds like you’ve had a pretty good week, hope all the issues at school are sorted, loving the mask!! x
Thanks, yes a fairly good week.
Fab tent in the garden! Love Monkey’s mask, very fetching! And a lovely selfie of you two. Hope all the school issues will be solved.
Matching shoes. Love them. Last year we had sun jellies – although different colours. Was really cute.
Let’s hope moving up in swimming will get Monkey back into working harder again. The last couple of weeks, N has realised that he can swim quite fast with his new underwater legs. So he seems to be getting a bit competitive trying to look over and check how far he is compared to the others. He’s one of the shortest, so has some way to go!
I’ve not heard the digraphs referred to as stretchy sounds before – like it though! Love his mask and cute matching shoes 🙂
Sorry to hear you are feeling rough today and that there are issues in school. I love that mask x
love the matching shoes, they will be great on holiday.
Glad you have your car back working, they are a pain when they play up.
Maybe he has stopped trying in swimming cos he is bored?
Nice to have the relatives popping in, Monkey seems to be enjoying the attention.
Sounds like a good week on balance, but I hope the school issues are sorted quickly. Love the mask 🙂 And matching shoes are great!
I love the tent, hours of fun
Loving the fact you have matching shoes! The mask is fab too!
Hope you are feeling better soon. Love Monkey’s play tent.
We have a tent like that, they are great arnt they. Love the mask it is very colourful
Yes it’s fab
Hope the cold doesn’t last too long. Bet it’s nice to have your car back, it’s amazing how much we rely on them isn’t it.
Sunshine today has certainly helped
Aaw love the matching pumps! You’ve had such a busy week too!
I can’t imagine what my boys would think if we had matching shoes….lol, mind you they are all grown up now. Youngest’s prom next month and thankfully really easy, suit, shirt, tie and shiny shoes
I’m sure this will probably be the first and last time I’ll get away with it
Loving the mask! Hope you are feeling better soon!
A day out in the sunshine has certainly helped
Some really fun photos there – I love Monkey’s new play tent and the matching shoes are great! Hope you are feeling a bit better today x
Lovely photos. Sorry to hear that Monkey has been having some challenges at school, but great news that his teacher is supportive – hopefully it will all get resolved quickly. The matching shoes are cute, and I love his pyjamas in the last photo – my little boy would love those!
That tent is the stuff kids dreams are made of – and loving that mask 🙂
Glad that the school/teacher is supporting you and Monkey with the issues you’re getting. It’s all about working together. 🙂
Love the blue daps.
