London Activity Book

London Activity Book

Monkey and I travel up to London quite a lot these days for events and to visit the museums.  He’s fascinated with the big city and is starting to really learn the various landmarks.  When I spotted the London Activity Book, I thought it would be a great way of capturing memories and also teaching him about our capital city.

London Activity Book

The London Activity Book is a large paperback book with a board map of the city at the back, containing 22 activities.  It really is quite wonderful, and is published through Button Books.  The paper is quite thick so won’t easily tear and the illustrations are detailed.

From colour in Underground Maps, to designing your own postcards, to finding the ravens at The Tower of London, there is lots of scope with The London Activity Book to entertain children.

You can draw in Buckingham Palace, the Union Jack and Royal Standard as well as designing your own flag designs.  Monkey already knows that this is where the Queen lives and he’s seen the Union Jack flying overhead.  We’ve talked about the Royal Standard and what it means if that’s flying too.  I’m hoping to take him to see the Changing of the Guard later in the year.

We’ll be using this book a lot over the summer holidays as we visit various places around London.  I love the fact that factual snippets are included and it’s not just a drawing book.

The London Activity Book helps to educate as well as entertain and I’m really impressed with it.  For £9.99 I think it’s a great buy and I’ve included my Amazon Affiliate link below for your reference.
