I think all children eventually become fascinated with planets and stars, even if it’s only a passing phase. I can remember being so proud of myself when I could remember which order the planets in our solar system orbit the sun. Monkey has lots of spaceship rockets in varying sizes and loves talking about ‘space’. But I realised we don’t actually own any factual space themed books. Time to change that, with the ABC Universe from the American Museum of Natural History.
ABC Universe is a large board book published through Sterling Books, which is great for giving children factual information whilst walking them through their ABC. Monkey, at 5 and half knows his alphabet well now but the facts have kept him well entertained whilst reading this book.
The photographic images really bring the subject to life and this work really well as a first reference book for children Monkey’s age. I had no idea that a Yellow Dwarf is a medium-sized star! You’re never too old to learn something new.
The 18 pages are full of a great mix of images and information and I know that ABC Universe is going to come in very useful as Monkey progresses through school.
Priced at £6.99 we think this is a great book for any space enthusiast. I’ve included my Amazon Affiliate Link below for your reference.
