Baa Baa Black Sheep – Little Learners

Books have been such a fundamental part of my life that there was never any doubt that Monkey would be surrounded by books from birth!  I’ve been reading to him for as long as I can remember, it’s something I’ve always enjoyed, and quality time that we still enjoy today.  We may be past the baby book stage now but I can still appreciate their appeal. Our next door neighbour is due to have her first baby any day now, and I know the baby will love Baa Baa Black Sheep from Parragon Books Little Learners range.  It’s nice to know that this little book is the first book our baby neighbour has received.  I hope to get to read it with him or her very soon.

Baa Baa Black Sheep

Baa Baa Black Sheep is a charming little board book fitted with a finger puppet who can join in as you read your baby this classic nursery rhyme.  Priced at £3.99 it would be a lovely addition to any little one’s book shelf.

Baa Baa Black Sheep

The Little Learners range is aimed at babies and toddlers and as well as the finger puppet books like Baa Baa Black Sheep, there are peek-a-boo books (as you can see over with Red Rose Mummy), books with textures and all are beautifully illustrated for young children.  They are a great range to get youngsters interested in books from an early range.

disclaimer: I received this product from the publisher for free. However, they have not paid me for this review, and they do not exercise any editorial control over my review or anything else on this site.

As I received two copies of Baa Baa Black Sheep, I really want them to both find happy homes with little ones.  One, as I’ve said is now with my neighbour and one I’d like to share with you.  So for your chance to win this lovely board book please complete the Gleam form below. Good luck!

About Over 40 and a Mum to One

A Mum with a 9 year old son, enjoying life and having fun as my son travels through school life. We love to get outdoors whenever possible and make the most of the world around us. We have a cat called Brewster who makes appearances and I’m a mad Ferrari Formula 1 fan, so that expect to hear about as each season unfolds. We love reviewing days out, toys, games and books and would love the opportunity to look at anything that fits in with our family lifestyle. We are always out and about and offering an insight on the places we visit, with a passion for nature thrown in for good measure. If you like what you read please leave me a comment, I love to hear from people, and always try to reply. Enjoy the read.

  1. I always loved Little Miss Muffet simply because I hated spiders too! I remember dressing up as her for a school Christmas party and my mum made me a crook using a small broom stick, a coat hanger, crepe paper and pink ribbon! And she also made me a frilly bonnet!

  2. My favourite was Polly put the kettle on, I had a doll called Polly who I loved and I used to sing it when I was playing house with her

  3. When I was younger I love ring, aring of roses as I loved it when we all fell down, obviously not knowing the meaning of it. My youngest loves pat a cake and giggles like mad when you trace a B on her belly!

  4. I honestly cant remember :/ My son loves 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 once I caught a fish alive, I make up a little dance to it & he laughs at me, lol 🙂 x

  5. The grand old Duke of York
    he had ten thousand men
he marched them up to the top of the hill
    and marched them back again
and when they was up they was up
and when they was down the was down
and when they was only half way up
they were neither up or down

Sorry loved this as a kid and still do now always puts a smile on my face

  6. I loved Little Miss Muffet, because I had no idea what curds and whey were so I found it hilarious to imagine what it was.

  7. I used to love Here we go round the mulberry bush because I used to sing it with my Nan while running round a bush in the garden!!

I'd love to hear from you and try to reply to all comments
