My best friend lives in Derbyshire and Monkey and I visit her as often as we can. She lives near a disused railway line which we often explore. On this visit we decided to leave the railway line itself and follow a footpath through the fields. It was time to go walking with a good friend on a rather damp and dismal day.
Of course there was always time for a bit of dandelion blowing along the way.
We talked about the crops in the fields and how the farmer would harvest them.
Monkey was fascinated to be able to walk over a busy road and we stopped to watch the traffic thundering past.
It was amazing that we could be so close to a busy road but in moments be back in the peaceful countryside.
We walked over little bridges, wondering where the stream went to on its journey.
We ended our walk looking back over the village. We were only out for about an hour but it was lovely to go for a walk with a good friend.
Looks like a lovely walk, and there is always time to blow dandelions 🙂 #CountryKids
I think so too
So very special to catch up with good friends, and getting out for a lovely walk must have be great. I’m glad you enjoyed your day. #countrykids
I’m lucky that Monkey loves my best friend as much as he does
Nothing quite like catching up with an old friend and looks like Monkey was happy to see her too. A delightful looking walk together. Thank you for sharing on Country Kids.
They get on really well which is lovely for me.
Looks like a lovely walk. Nothing beats a good walk with friends!
Very true
That looks like an amazing adventure. I need to do this to be honest as we have been stuck at home for the longest time! Hopefully our walk will be as awesome as this trip =) #countrykids
It was lovely, even on a damp, dull day
That sounds like the perfect way to spend some time.
