Lion Practice

Lion Practice

Now that Monkey is back at school it’s so very quiet here, but during the holidays I could certainly empathise with the mother of a little girl called Laura that we meet in Lion Practice.  Written and illustrated by Emma Carlisle, this new picture book was released through Pan Macmillan at the end of July.

Lion Practice

In Lion Practice, we meet Laura, a little girl who likes to make a lot of noise as she practices to be all sorts of animals, from a crocodile to a kangaroo. Her Mum would like her to pretend to be something quiet, but Laura has a different plan, it’s time for Lion Practice.

Lion Practice

But chaos ensues as Laura gets into trouble with her Mum and her Dad with her pretending, she even wakes the baby. She runs outside, feeling sad, she just wanted to be the best lion she could be.

It’s time for some reassuring bear hugs from her parents and some tips on how lions can have fun without creating havoc wherever they tread.

It’s a lovely little tale and one which I think all families can relate to.  Priced at ££6.99, my Amazon Affiliate link is shown below for your reference.
