Mr Men The Rugby Match

Now I’ve got to be honest, you could write what I know about Rugby on a postage stamp, but even I know that the Rugby World Cup is now under way.  To celebrate this sporting event, Egmont have recently released Mr Men The Rugby Match.

Mr Men The Rugby Match

Written and illustrated by Adrian Hargreaves, along the lines of the original concept by his father Roger Hargreaves, Mr Men The Rugby Match has introduced Monkey to the whole concept of the game of Rugby.

Mr Strong is the Captain of his Rugby Team and they are about to meet their toughest opponents – the All Reds.  Now as we all know Mr Strong, doesn’t always know the extent of his strength.  Monkey always calls Daddy P Mr Strong as he has the same problem! Rugby boots and balls don’t survive Mr Strong’s care and attention but luckily there are plenty of spares.

He’s picked his team, but can they compare to the prowess of the All Reds?

Mr Men The Rugby Match

His team included a number of old favourites here, Mr Tickle, Mr Jelly and Mr Greedy as well as Mr Rush.  Can they beat the All Reds, it’s all looking a bit doubtful, but they do have Mr Impossible on their side.

This is another lovely Mr Men book, and although neither Monkey or I know much about the game, we’ve both had a giggle as we’ve been reading.  For £2.99 you can’t go wrong with the Mr Men books in my opinion and this one is currently on offer over on Amazon (my affiliate link is below).

disclaimer: we were sent this book in exchange for an honest review

About Over 40 and a Mum to One

A Mum with a 9 year old son, enjoying life and having fun as my son travels through school life. We love to get outdoors whenever possible and make the most of the world around us. We have a cat called Brewster who makes appearances and I’m a mad Ferrari Formula 1 fan, so that expect to hear about as each season unfolds. We love reviewing days out, toys, games and books and would love the opportunity to look at anything that fits in with our family lifestyle. We are always out and about and offering an insight on the places we visit, with a passion for nature thrown in for good measure. If you like what you read please leave me a comment, I love to hear from people, and always try to reply. Enjoy the read.
