Silent Sunday My Sunday Photo 011115

Last Sunday we went to Westonbirt Arboretum for the first time, we took Daddy P’s sister and her husband with us and it would appear that the rest of England decided to join us for the day.  I’m quite excited that so many people appear to love trees, nature and autumnal colours.  Honestly, it was heaving at the entrance all day, but once you’d got past the payment queues and fuelled up in the cafe, there was plenty of room for everyone.  I’ll be sharing a post next weekend on our day, but this photo stood apart from the amazing colours of the trees.  Flowers also turning, a hydrangea bloom half vibrant in hues of blue, half brown and dying.

I love the mix of colours, it almost looked like a bouquet – my kind of colours aren’t they!

  1. Hydrangea are my most favourite flowers, and these are simply gorgeous, and because of the colour change, I have never seen this colour before. They are usually pastel colours. Beautiful!

  2. Beautiful. I adore hydrangeas, I take lots of photos of ours. Love the way they change over the year, but remain beautiful even when fading. Our first frost hasn’t been too kind to ours though 🙁 Lovely photo x
