You might have noticed my first Jim Arnosky book review and giveaway for Slither and Crawl on Saturday. Today I’m sharing another of his books, Wild Tracks! which offers a guide to animal footprints for children.
Wild Tracks! again features Jim’s colourful illustrations and includes information on mammals, birds and reptiles.
There are four fold-out pages showing life size footprints of different animals. This has caused much hilarity and Monkey has compared his own feet to the various animals. We’ve compared toes, size and shapes and discussed which animals he has seen in the wild and in zoos.
We’ve talked about going on a bear hunt and how Monkey would now know what their footprints would look like. Wild Tracks! even shows him the difference in tracks between a running and walking bear, although I’d certainly not want to see their tracks in the woods around here!
This is another lovely nature book to add to our reference collection and priced at £5.99, another bargain. My Amazon Affiliate link is shown below for your reference.
disclaimer: we were sent this item in exchange for an honest review.
