Monkey and I are always off on adventures, but in the wintertime we can sometimes get a little chilly as we explore off the beaten track. We recently took delivery of a couple of items which mean that Thermos keep us warm on the go from now on!
Thermos is a brand I’ve grown up, so I know I can rely on them to provide a quality product that will keep our food and drinks hot in the winter and cold when the warmer days return. As children I can remember our Thermos flasks going everywhere with us (knowing my parents, those flasks are still going strong in Spain 40+ years later!) so it’s quite nice to be able to carry that tradition on with Monkey. They have a 50 year guarantee, so our new additions should be very well used by us in the years to come.
We received the Genuine Thermos Brand Stainless King Flask with a 1.2 litre capacity, in Red for our drinks and the Genuine Thermos Brand Stainless King Food Flask with a 470ml capacity, in Black.
The King Flask is going to be really well used this winter as Monkey has already requested we fill it with Hot Chocolate for our holiday trips this Christmas. I’ve been trying it with tea and as I would expect it keeps it hot for hours. I’ve not tested it for 24 hours, but apparently that’s how long Thermos guarantee hot drinks for in these flasks!
The Thermos products have a hard-wearing stainless steel interior and exterior and I really liked the finish. A great feature, especially with children is that the flasks are cool to the touch, irrespective of what they contain, as are the insulated cups. We’ll be having hot chocolate and tea on the go during colder months and keeping apple juice or water nice and cold when we see the sun again.
The King Food Flask is a totally new idea for us and I can see this being used in a few different ways. Not only can Monkey and I use it when we are out and about, but a workaholic Daddy P could make use of it at work too.
I can be guilty of spending all day and then all night working on the laptop during the week. I want to change that, fill my food flask with soup and head off to explore the grounds of a number of National Trust properties in the months ahead. Now I can, and this lovely Food Flask even comes with a foldable stainless steel spoon attached to the lid, so I can not forget to take one with me! It’s easy to pour and works really well.
Keeping hot food just that way for 7 hours and cold food cold for 9 hours, this food flask is going to come in very handy. We’ll be using it not only for soup, but for pasta, rice dishes, chilli con carne and more besides this wintertime.
Both of the items featured are available from Argos (affiliate links below), Debenhams, John Lewis as well as directly from Thermos, where you can see the full range and colour options.
