I’m taking a break from black and white photos for a couple of weeks. Last year I failed miserably to share our elf antics on the blog, although they did feature on Instagram. So I thought I’d share the adventures of Berry the Elf in 2015 to date.
We would love to have him creating snow elves in flour, eating chocolate and generally being very naughty with all things food, but we have Brewster. The cat who will try anything once, and I really don’t want him to need an emergency trip to the Vets! So our Elf Escapades might be tame compared to some, but Monkey loves it. He’s a total believer that Father Christmas sends Berry the Elf to keep an eye on him in the run up to Christmas. Last year there were tears where we discovered Berry had gone home on Christmas Eve whilst we were at the Crib Service. Thankfully Berry left Monkey with some Reindeer Food to scatter in the garden, the tears were soon gone and the magic returned.
So here is a little snapshot of what’s been happening here since 1st December.
The Magic Elf Door appears on 1st December, along with Berry the Elf and a few gifts.
1st December – Berry sees himself as a construction site worker
2nd December – Berry goes abseiling down the blinds
3rd December – Berry proves that not only Monkey’s like swinging
4th December – Berry the artist
5th December – Berry gets a bit wrapped up in the tinsel
6th December – anyone fancy a game of Fruitominoes?
7th December – Berry decides to educate the class in all things construction vehicles
8th December – the class rebels
9th December – Berry prepares for Monkey’s birthday the next day
10th December – Berry decides to take trapeze walking to a whole new level
11th December – a game of Cat and Elf
12th December – Fearless Berry decides to mummify Butch the T-Rex!
I wonder what other capers Berry will be getting up to before he leaves us on Christmas Eve? Do you have an Elf in your house, I’d love to hear what they’ve been getting up to.
