The Little Penguin: Pororo's Racing Adventure DVD

The Little Penguin: Pororo’s Racing Adventure DVD

It’s not often that Monkey watches a film and asks to watch it again, straight away!  But that’s exactly what happened last week when we received The Little Penguin: Pororo’s Racing Adventure DVD.

The Little Penguin: Pororo's Racing Adventure DVD

This charming film was released on DVD on 15th February through Lionsgate and had my penguin loving Monkey glued to his seat throughout its 78 minute duration. The plucky little penguin Pororo dreams of racing in the Super Sled race and when a plane crashes on his doorstep, it looks as if his dreams really could come true.

The aeroplane, piloted by the turtles Toto and Mango is carrying some rather important cargo – a sled for the Super Sled Championships, being held in Northpia.  Toto and Mango put Pororo and his friends through a rigorous training camp and agree to take them all with them so they too, can take part in the race.

Can Pororo and his team take on the dastardly Fufu Bear and his motley crew?  Will the current champion team led by White Tiger, win again?

The Little Penguin: Pororo's Racing Adventure DVD

Monkey really loved watching The Little Penguin: Pororo’s Racing Adventure DVD, it’s rather cute, and a little predictable, but there are no scary parts so it was perfect for my super sensitive son.  Penguins and racing, what more could he ask for? Well, we were lucky enough to receive some jellies and a penguin ice-cube tray, so it was jelly for pudd!  Sadly my jelly mould removal skills are somewhat lacking, but they did taste good.

Monkey gives this film a big thumbs up and it’s available from Amazon for £5.00 (I’ve included my Amazon Affiliate link for you below).

  1. I am not to adventurous and would be scared of breaking a bone so I think being pulled on a sleigh by huskies would be something I would like to try!

  2. If you could try any winter sport what would it be and why – ? . . . . . ice skating as l would like to improve my skills

  3. I was inspired by two events from past Olympics – the Jamaican Bob Sleigh team and Eddie ‘The Eagle’ doing the ski-jump. If I had to choose I’d pick the ski-jump for the solo glory 😉

  4. Id love to have the guts to try skiing. something about it frightens me immensely though …. i’d jump out of a plane, do a bungee jump, but skiing scares the bajeezus outta me !? :/

  5. Son2 loves penguins, so this would be fab for him. And as regards sports, I’m not very adventurous, so I would opt for curling

  6. Would have to be ice skating, ive always had a hankering to try it, but its just one of those things ive never got around to trying

  7. Definitely curling, because I remember being home from school poorly watching the Winter Olympics as a teenager and being absolutely fascinated by the curling (it was 2002 – the year we won gold – which helped!) and I’ve always wanted to try it ever since

  8. I’d love to try bobsleigh purely for the adrenaline rush but would worry that in reality I’d suffer a heart attack!

  9. bobsleigh. super fast, super exciting. pretty dangerous though. i’m sure a pro could drive and hold back a little – would still be fast.

I'd love to hear from you and try to reply to all comments
