I was in Birmingham last Sunday, a city that has changed so much over the years I’ve visited it. I love architecture, old and new. Buildings fascinate me and I wish I had the design flair to come up with some of their designs. It was the first time I’d seen Grand Central (New Street Station) in all it’s glory.
I love the distortion in the reflection – is it glass, mirror or water?
Wow, fantastic picture! I’m still waiting to visit Grand Central too. Goodness knows when that will ever happen!
What a great photo and what a good eye you have to spot these things.
Isn’t Birmingham just amazing at the moment? We were lucky to go in half term and we saw Grand Central in all its glory and it’s mind blowing to think the old train station could be so transformed.
This is a great shot and testament to the changes taking place in B’ham right now. I love its new look!

I knew what your photo was from the thumprint on the linky…it just shows how iconic Grand Central is. I find the mirrors a little strange but my kids love to walk under them and look up at their reflections. I find the eye a bit creepy too, but I’m glad they changed it advertising instead of camera views from inside the station.
Your photo is a great capture of the distorted buildings, from a distance I think it looks like the building are melting.

That is a fantastic reflection shot! Looks like a mirror to me! 🙂
Looks like a mirror to me but it could just as easily be glass. I used to go through New Street Station every three weeks years ago but haven’t been through since it’s been changed. Interested to see what it’s like now!
Don’t think you’d recognise the place to be honest
Wow! A mirror! And this looks like an interesting place to visit =) #mysundayphoto
