I read with Monkey all the time as you all know and I’m a great believer that books can open up a world of wonder to children. Imaginations can run riot and all sorts of adventures can be taken from the pages of a book into the play time of a child. We’ve been looking at the Personalised books from CreateMeBooks recently, as I think there’s something rather special about a child appearing within their own story.
Lisa Budd-Wilson decided to start CreateMeBooks after writing a story to entertain her young daughter who was convalescing after an operation. The personalised books are aimed at children aged 2-7 years of age and are very easily to personalise. You can add a personalised message for the front of your book and then add your child’s name and sex, their hair colour and style and skin tone. You can also add glasses to the book character as well as the colour of their outfit. Once you’ve proof read your Personalised books from CreateMeBooks they are ready to ship for £17.99, and delivery takes up to 14 working days.
I was really impressed with the quality of the paperback book we received. The cover is a heavy-duty card, making it a great choice for younger children who might be a bit rougher with their books. The 24 page book features personalisation throughout the story and Monkey has enjoyed listening to his Prince and his adventure.
We follow our Prince as he struggles to get to sleep, he really needs to find the Land of Nod. He meets animals along the way who try to help him reach his destination. With frogs and dragons this was always going to be a winner with Monkey.
The book is charming and Monkey love it, so that makes it a hit in this house.
disclosure: we were sent the item mentioned in exchange for an honest review
