Sun safe with Rockin’ Baby

With sunnier and warmer days hopefully on the horizon it’s that time of year when we have to start thinking about sun protection for our children.  I’ve always been super cautious with Monkey and his skin, I still have painful memories of getting sunburnt as a child in the 70’s. With a holiday coming up to Portugal I’m really aware that keeping those harmful UV rays at bay is so important.  We have sun cream covered as you already know, and we will be full sun safe with Rockin’ Baby and Monkey’s new sunhat.

This lovely sunhat is reversible, with blue denim style material on one side and a leaf pattern on the other.

Monkey has reliably informed me that it’s a jungle Mummy, and perfect for my little adventurer.  Who am I to argue?

The broad rim will offer protection for Monkey’s face, ears and neck in the months ahead and it’s been an instant hit.  I like the idea of it being reversible, but I’ve been told No Mummy, it’s the Jungle all the way.  Ok, that’s fine with me.  I’m so lucky that Monkey has always been happy to wear a hat, right from being a baby.

There are a whole range of sun hats available through Rockin’ Baby, the one shown top left in the collage below is available in sizes newborn, 0-3, 3-6, 6-9, 9-12, 12-18 and 18-24m, the bottom left option is a one size hat, and the others shown, along with Monkey’s are available in 18-24m, 2-3yrs, 3-4, 4-5, 5-6, 7, 8, and 10yrs.  All are priced between £10-£12.

We ordered a size 7 years hat for Monkey, the label says 7-10 years, it’s a good fit for him, and still has plenty of room for him to grow in the summers ahead.  The quality is good and the sunhat is machine washable.

Rockin’ Baby offer a range of childrens clothing as well as slings, there are some lovely designs to look through.

About Over 40 and a Mum to One

I'm a Mum in my late 40′s with an 8 year old son. I had a busy life in Export Sales before my Monkey came along, but decided to become a stay at home Mum once he arrived. Now I enjoy writing my own family lifestyle and travel blog. sharing the adventures that we have as Monkey makes his journey through school. We have a cat called Brewster who makes appearances and I’m a mad Ferrari Formula 1 fan, so that expect to hear about as each season unfolds. We love reviewing days out, toys, games and books and would love the opportunity to look at anything that fits in with our family lifestyle. We are always out and about and offering an insight on the places we visit, with a passion for nature thrown in for good measure. If you like what you read please leave me a comment, I love to hear from people, and always try to reply. Enjoy the read.
