Mr Men Birthday Party

Mr Men Birthday Party

As the Mr Men series celebrates its 45th birthday this year and the original creator Roger Hargreaves was born on 9th May, I’ve joined together with Egmont UK to celebrate . It’s time for a Mr Men Birthday Party.

Mr Men Birthday Party

The new Mr Men Birthday Party was published yesterday (I’ve included my Amazon Affiliate link for you below) and Monkey got to enjoy reading it with a few friends recently. There was even some birthday cake to be enjoyed!

Even Monkey’s favourite Mr Men – Mr Bump made an appearance.

We appear to have a house full of Mr Men fans here, and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves as we celebrated the release of Mr Men Birthday Party. It’s amazing how quickly Monkey’s friends assembled when they heard the word ‘cake’! The Little Miss Princess cake is readily available at Tesco – isn’t she sweet.

Mr Men Birthday Party has been a big hit with Monkey and his friends. Poor Mr Birthday isn’t well and he’s supposed to be organising a birthday party for Mr Silly.  Whatever can he do? Somehow he gets talked into letting Little Miss Helpful sort the party out for him, this could all go horribly wrong.

Mr Men Birthday Party

Poor Little Miss Helpful has a wonder talent for picking the wrong people for jobs.  Would you ask Mr Muddle to bake a birthday cake, or get Mr Forgetful to send out the invitations? I certainly wouldn’t leave Mr Mean in charge of buying a birthday present!

Can the friends save Mr Silly’s birthday party from being a total disaster?  You’ll have to buy Mr Men Birthday Party to find out!  I’m also running a giveaway below where you can win yourself a copy.  Read on.

Now as there’s a double birthday celebration going on for the Mr Men and Roger Hargreaves it seems only fair to share some more fun with you all, in the shape of the personalised book Mr Men the Very Silly Birthday book.  The book can be personalised with your child’s name and an avatar of your boy/girl too.  They then feature throughout the book, which is larger than the normal Mr Men and Little Miss books.

I have a 20% reader discount to share with you for the Mr Men the Very Silly Birthday – use code pblogger20 when ordering.  You can find out when Little Miss Birthday and Mr Birthday ask your child to help them prepare a birthday party.

Egmont are running a ‘Pin to Win’ competition at the moment which ends on 31.05.16 – click to add your #MrMenBirthday Pinterest board to their competition.

  1. My favourite is Mr Bump because when I was at nursery we all had a Mr Men on our pegs and mine was Mr Bump! It’s quite apt as I am always bumping into things and falling over.

  2. I liked Mr Bump.. because he is funny & i can relate to his ‘bumping into things’.

  3. Mr Bump because it is my daughter’s favorite. She can recite parts of the book.

  4. Little Miss Somersault, she reminds me of my daughter, always on the go and very agile. Ready to jump to action and help anyone in need

  5. Little Miss All-Goes-Well as she has a perfect life. I read it in french, Madame Tout-Va-Bien.

  6. Mr Small is my fave…..my son is small for his age and this story is great for him.

  7. Little miss sunshine because she’s like me and always looks on the bright side of life

  8. Mr bump as I had a red space hooper with him on as a child and he was always my favourite in the books.

  9. I like little miss giggles as she reminds me of my youngest daughter who is a right little giggler!!

  10. Mr. Bump has always been my favourite as I remember mum buying plasters with him all over them when we were little. He wa the Mr. Men character I most identified with as I was a little accident prone 😉

  11. Mr silly because along with his friend mr nonsense has some pretty whacky adventures and makes my son laugh at bedtime.

  12. Little Miss Chatterbox has always been my favourite as its what my daughter was nicknamed as a little girl

  13. Mr Grumpy is my favourite as I look at him every morning in the mirror. Sometimes I can make him smile, though!

  14. My favourite has always been Mr Worry because I can relate, and I always felt sorry for him – and it amused me that ultimately he is worried about not having anything to worry about!

  15. mr tickle cos he tries cheering everyone up by tickling although mr bump is more like me lol love mr men just started collecting their ornamenst

  16. Little miss Fickle because it was the first mr men book my mum ever purchased because she thought it exemplified me to a tee!

  18. Mr Bump, it changed when I met my husband and had kids, my husband has hydrocaphalus and was in for brain surgery, obviously he had a big bandage round his head and my son went, you look like Mr Bump, so it’s all we call him now, including our younger child, it just stuck!

  19. I love Mr Bump. He helps so much when my kids hurt themselves because we can laugh about it and look at how he just carries on!

I'd love to hear from you and try to reply to all comments
