A new me with Rush Hair Milton Keynes

I don’t know about you but the thought of trying a new hairdresser often fills me with dread. Will they get that my hair has the most annoying kinks in the world?  Will I feel comfortable in the saloon? Will my vision be fulfilled? In my head I have thick, lush locks but in reality I have a short, fine, flyaway mop. It was time to see a new me with Rush Hair which opened in Milton Keynes at the end of July.

I’ve been with the same mobile hairdresser for nearly 10 years. But she’s taking a break as she’s just had a baby.  In fact, she needed to stop working a bit earlier than expected and just before my last planned haircut. So roll on 8 weeks and my hair was really in need of some tlc. Both in the cutting and colouring. The team at Rush Hair had kindly offered to give me a cut and blow dry and I asked them to sort out my highlights too whilst I was with them.

The salon reception it located next to Lush, close to the Intu multi story car parking facilities. The main salon is found on the first floor and it all looks rather glamorous.

The staff were welcoming and I instantly felt at ease.  A new me with Rush Hair Milton Keynes was going well and I was soon gowned up and settled in with a pot of tea.  I was early and Kelly, the Rush Hair MK Senior Director, was just finishing off another client.  It gave me a chance to relax, enjoy the background music and chill with a good cuppa (and a couple of biscuits!).

I’d got a few ideas on styling and even saved photos to my phone (how organised was I for a change) and then discussed these with Kelly.  We talked about colour options and I decided I wanted to stick with highlights rather than an all over colour change. It was always going to be blonde. Again, in my head that’s totally where I am, nature just conspired against me and delivered me with brown hair.

Foils in and it was time for another pot of tea to be delivered along with some magazines. I’d meant to bring my book with me, forgot (not that organised clearly).  Not my most glamorous look, but you get the idea.

I had my rinse, shampoo and a lovely little massage with one of the juniors before facing the mirror. My hair has been done at my home for so long I’ve not seen the work in progress before me for years. My awful regrowth was gone. Yes! More relief.  Kelly chatted away as she cut and blow dried my hair, trimming through as she went. It’s at this point I always wish I had a resident stylist at home to help me look just a little more glam every day.

It was lovely to watch the style appear before my eyes and I really did feel so relaxed, it surprised me, if I’m totally honest.  But, clearly I was in good hands and before I knew it Kelly had transformed me. A new me with Rush Hair Milton Keynes, and I couldn’t be happier.

A new me with Rush Hair Milton Keynes – what do you think?

The team at Rush Hair are all trained to a high level and keeping up with all the latest techniques is a firm part of their ethos.  I also noticed that the salon is open on Sundays from 11am – 5pm.  This could work really well for those with a busy work and home life I thought.  I could certainly see the benefit.  For full opening hours and more details about Rush Hair Milton Keynes pop over to the website.

I’ve been really thrilled with my new look, and can thoroughly recommend the service I received at Rush Hair in Milton Keynes.

disclosure:  I was given a complimentary cut and blow dry in exchange for an honest review, I paid for my highlighting treatment.

  1. I like it, Mary!
And the layers in the back look really smart. It’s a great haircut with some grown up R&R at the same time. Lush!
