Walking into Autumn with Hotter

Walking into Autumn with Hotter #HotterAW16

It’s a well documented fact that I love shoes and boots. It’s a love affair that shows no sign of diminishing with age. But these days, along with styling and colour, I also appreciate comfort.  I’m going to be walking into Autumn with Hotter, and my feet are being treated to the delight of my new Hampton Boots.

I’m a big fan of Hotter and their range of shoes and boots.  Style and comfort go hand in hand and I was thrilled to be invited along to their recent #HotterAW16 preview event in the Castle Quay Centre in Banbury.

The store is always so welcoming, and I’ve mentioned before about it feeling so light and airy within. The staff are knowledgeable and always willing to assist and the shopping experience is always pleasurable.

Did you know that Hotter started out as a slipper manufacturer?  I didn’t either.  I love their philosophy that they want people wearing their shoes and boots to be as comfortable as if they are wearing slippers.  My feet are rather appreciative of this idea too.

Walking into Autumn with Hotter couldn’t be easier, with their range of cushioned shoes and boots.  I defy anyone not to find something they like in Hotter.  I knew I’d be spoilt for choice as I looked through the ranges on offer in the Autumn Winter Collection.

If I’d been looking for shoes I would have been sorely tempted with the Annette shoes above which are available in Tan, Brown and Black and would go really well with jeans or trousers. I’m also rather in love with the Charmaine, the red is a particular favourite.

For classic styling, you can’t beat the brogue and the Hotter Village shoe interpretation of this classic is just fab.

The interlaced front panel and curved heel of the Stephanie also caught my eye, available in Black, Navy and my favourite, Maroon.

I was trying to remain focussed, I had boots on my mind and there were a number of styles which caught my eye.  I, like a lot of people have odd feet, not exactly the same size.  It’s a joy (not) when shoe shopping.  Ideally I need a 5½ but sometimes I’m a 5 and sometimes a 6.  Let’s face it, how many shops actually sell half sizes??  Why not, I have no idea.  Never fear though, Hotter not only sell half sizes, but a number of their styles offer a couple of insole options for added flexibility and comfort.

So what were my top picks? For a long boot the Belle has to be my favourite, what’s not to love about this. It would fit very well on my feet.  But I’ve recently bought some long boots so for now I’ll just admire from a distance.

For boots with a little heel but a lot of style I absolutely adore the Vanity Boots with their zip detailing .  My niece, who blogs over at Its a Girl Thing Blogging opted for these in Black, and if I’m honest, I may well have to go and buy a pair for myself too.  Adorable!

Knowing that for everyday wear I ideally wanted a flat heal I moved my attentions to the County boot, and these very nearly came home with me. Simple styling that would work with anything.

Whilst I tried to decide, my friend H was enjoying looking at the Originals range.  She was looking for a boot that would work well with jeans and leggings as well as long skirts.  H spends a lot of her time on her feet at work, so finding a boot which offered comfort was a must.  The Mystery boots fitted the bill perfectly, and in tan, will go with pretty much anything.

She was so impressed by just how comfy these boots were to wear, that she didn’t take them off, went home in them and has been wearing them frequently ever since.  One happy Hotter wearer.

For those of us that feel the cold the Pixie Boot offers comfort and a faux fur lining to keep toes toasty this Autumn and Winter, available in 5 different shades of suede including this Aubergine.

But after much deliberation I decided on the Hampton boots in Chocolate.  I just love the suede and strap detailing and am going to love walking into Autumn with Hotter.

With the change in the weather this last week I’ve really got to enjoy putting my new boots through their paces.  The cushioned insoles make the boots so comfortable, and I’ve not had any rubbing issues at all.

They’re such a great little boot, stylish, and practical and I just know I’m going to be living in them this Autumn. The inner zip fastener is discreet too. When we visited the Hotter Banbury story we were told that the soles of their shoes are filled with millions of air bubbles, so you literally feel as if you are walking on air.

For once I came home without a new handbag, yes I’m guilty of having a fair few of those too.  Hotter has a range of bags to coordinate with their shoes and boots too. I’d personally prefer a larger sized bag, but H loved the Mille bag which can be worn as a clutch or over the shoulder bag.

I’ve been really impressed with the Hotter range for Autumn/Winter 2016 and it was great to see others see that the range has something to offer all ages.  They even do mens shoes, but sadly not up to a size 14 to fit Daddy P!

I’m really pleased to be able to offer you all a discount code offering £10 off plus free delivery:  PQBTPD (see terms and conditions below).

(T&C’s – £10 off plus FREE delivery is for first orders only. You are entitled to £10 off the total order value of any full priced items in the Hotter range (excluding shoe care products) plus FREE delivery.  This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotional offer or on Sale or Factory Clearance items and gift vouchers. Expires 29/1/17)

Have you tried Hotter shoes and boots before?  If not, I can highly recommend.  Their website shows all their store locations, but you can also by online or over the phone (their call centre and manufacturing base is right here in the UK). I’ll be walking into Autumn with Hotter this year, will you join me?

disclosure:  I received a pair of Hampton boots to review in exchange for my honest thoughts.

  1. I think you made a great choice with the Hampton boot! I love the brogues too and the County boot. I got a pair of Hotter boots last year and they’re incredibly comfortable, as well as being pretty stylish! I ought to check out their autumn range myself.

  2. My favourite bag was the rounded saddle bag. Gorgeous but not big enough for my day to day stuff even when it’s pared down. Love how your boots look. I wore my shoe boots to work today for an all day workshop and they were very comfortable.

I'd love to hear from you and try to reply to all comments
