Colouring the world with eat sleep doodle

Colouring the world with eat sleep doodle

Do you recall the placemats I reviewed some time ago.  The ones that you could colour in, and when you fancied a change, you just washed them clean and started all over again? Well the team got in touch recently to see if we’d like to try out one of their new products and Monkey and I have been colouring the world with eat sleep doodle.

You all know that I’m rather obsessed with maps and luckily Monkey share my passion.  I couldn’t wait to see what he thought of the Colour and Learn World Map pillowcase that we recently received from eat sleep doodle.

The great thing about the eat sleep doodle range of products is that they come with washout fabric pens.  You create your design, or in this case colour in, and when you feel like a change, wash the item and start again.

We’ve been colouring the world with eat sleep doodle, learning and having fun, all at the same time. Monkey’s learnt more about the 7 wonders of the modern age, as well as following the migration of the humpback whale.

We’ve found Granny and Gramps in Spain and seen just how far away the Rio Olympics were from home.

Monkey’s found the start of Year Two a little tough at times, and has been worn out by the time he’s come home from school.  Colouring the world with eat sleep doodle has been a great activity to help him chill out a little, and something we’ve enjoyed working on together.

Monkey and I have coloured in the pillowcase on our kitchen table, but really you could do it anywhere.  The washout fabric pens don’t leak through the fabric, the reverse of the pillowcase remained totally white.

The design is such that you can colour in as little or as much as you like, in any way you like.  It’s been a joy to see Monkey concentrate and decide what to colour in and in what colour.  It’s also helping to make him a little more accurate with his colouring in, he’s still a bit of a random scribbler at times.

We’ve talked about the places I’ve visited over the years and countries Monkey might explore himself one day.  Basically, we’ve had a lot of fun.

Apparently we might go for purple giraffes next time and Australia all in blue.  The joy of eat sleep doodle, is that Monkey can try it, and wash it all away if he doesn’t like it.

For £15.00 per pillowcase and pen set, I think this is such a novel idea.  As well as the World Map, there is also a Colour and Learn Dinosaur pillow case and a general Doodle one in the Sleeping range.  They’d make great gifts for birthdays or something a little different for Christmas.
