Fly me to the moon? Silent Sunday My Sunday Photo 250916

Monkey’s always had lots of things hanging from his bedroom ceiling, aeroplanes, diggers and even pirates at times.  A constant, has been his hot air balloon, which has hung from the corner of his ceiling since he was a baby.  At some point his Clanger decided he wanted to go for a ride too.  Earlier in the week Monkey decided he was getting too old to have things hanging from his ceiling and he asked me to take his hot air balloon down, which of course I did.  Albeit with a heavy heart, my little boy is growing up too fast.

We left for school, and when I got home this is what I found.  Perhaps Monkey hasn’t grown up quite as much as I’d thought.  Fly me to the moon?

About Over 40 and a Mum to One

I'm a Mum with an 8 year old son. I had a busy life in Export Sales before my Monkey came along, but decided to become a stay at home Mum once he arrived. Now I enjoy writing my own family lifestyle and travel blog. sharing the adventures that we have as Monkey makes his journey through school. We have a cat called Brewster who makes appearances and I’m a mad Ferrari Formula 1 fan, so that expect to hear about as each season unfolds. We love reviewing days out, toys, games and books and would love the opportunity to look at anything that fits in with our family lifestyle. We are always out and about and offering an insight on the places we visit, with a passion for nature thrown in for good measure. If you like what you read please leave me a comment, I love to hear from people, and always try to reply. Enjoy the read.

  1. Ahhh! It looks like Monkey had different plans for his hot air balloon, you never know he might ask you pop it back up. It looks like a great game though xx #mysundayphoto

  2. Awww bless him. Olivia does the same too, saying “it’s too babyish”. But, I love that hot air balloon. xx
