Project 366 2016 Week 41 Day 283-289

Sunday 9th October – Day 283

Project 366 2016 Week 41

I wasn’t feeling great so I sent Daddy P and Monkey out for they.  There was a model railway exhibition they wanted to visit at the British Motor Museum, so they were happy. I curled up on the sofa and caught up on the Grand Prix action and enjoyed a bit of peace and quiet.

Looks like I wasn’t alone in enjoying the peace Brewster!

Monday 10th October – Day 284

Project 366 2016 Week 41

My hairdresser friend had her first baby 10 weeks ago and I got to meet baby E today, he is adorable and slept in my arms for ages.  So hard to believe that Monkey was ever that small.  I’ve been collecting baby bits for her for a while and knowing she’d had a boy, we passed on some of Monkey’s favourite board books and wooden toys for E to enjoy.

After school Monkey got to play with our new Playmags set, he loves it.  Then it was off to Beavers and he loved that too.  Perfect way to end the day.

Tuesday 11th October – Day 285

Project 366 2016 Week 41

I dropped Monkey off at school and came home to sort my college homework out.  It’s all about shutter speeds this week, so I was working with Monkey’s Trackmaster train set.  My friend A then came round to help me finish off with some motion shots in the garden.  She earned her cuppa.

After school Monkey was in a lovely mood and we had lots of laughs together before bedtime.

Wednesday 12th October – Day 286

Project 366 2016 Week 41

One of those weird blogging days!  I headed down to our local Pizza Express before lunch to create a Halloween themed pizza to promote a competition they’re currently running.  I won’t win any prizes for my creation, but it was fun.

In the afternoon I headed into school to help in Monkey’s class.  He wanted to show me his work, wow, his hand writing was so neat.  He was justifiably proud of himself, doesn’t look like that at home!

Thursday 13th October – Day 287

project-366-2016-week-41

Lisa from Ruggles at Leisure popped round for a cuppa and a catch up this morning and brought me these lovely flowers.  She’d running the New York Marathon in a couple of weeks, I really admire her and will be sending positive thoughts across the pond in due course.

Monkey and I popped into town after school to get some errands done.  We had a look at some Halloween decorations but came home empty-handed.  We’ve got enough already really.

Friday 14th October – Day 288

Project 366 2016 Week 41

I dropped Monkey off at school and headed to college for my photography class.  We shared our photos from our Shutter Speeds homework and spent the lesson learning about apertures and depth of field.  We’ve got a number of exercises to complete for homework this week.  So as the sun was out when I got home, I started to crack on with it and had a play.

Monkey came home from school with a new award, this one left me speechless (in a good way obv!).  Thespian of the Week – my son! Wow.

Saturday 15th October – Day 289

Project 366 2016 Week 41

We’ve spent the day at Salcey Forest with my friend L and her son C.  The boys get on really well, the weather has been kind and they’ve spent their time moving logs, picking up sticks and conkers and getting muddy.  Perfect.  On the way home Monkey asked if C could come back to play.  This doesn’t happen often.  So L and C came back to ours and the boys disappeared upstairs.  No arguing, lots of sharing and asking when we can do it all again. Couldn’t ask for more.

  1. Really lovely to read of so many positives for Monkey this week, I know other weeks he makes you despair. Lots of great smile filled pictures.
Glad you enjoyed your day of peace and quiet.
Well done to Monkey for the handwriting and the award.

  2. It sounds like a very happy week for both you and Monkey. Well done to him on his award – that’s not the sort of award anyone expects their child to bring home from school! Love the photo of him playing in the woods 🙂

  3. the pizza making event sounds fun – did you get to eat your creation at the end? Monkey is looking more grow up recently and well done to him on his handwriting at school. And well done also on being named Thespian of the week! brilliant x

I'd love to hear from you and try to reply to all comments
