Bamboo Towels from The Towel Shop

Luxury Bamboo Towels from The Towel Shop – review and giveaway

With my recent painting spree in the house, I’ve felt the need for a little spring cleaning in other areas. Thanks to the Luxury Bamboo Towels from The Towel Shop, I now have a new towelling set which work well in either my bathroom or the en-suite.  Yes, you read that correctly, Bamboo Towels!

Now I know that bamboo can be used for all manner of things.  I even seen it used as scaffolding in some countries, but I’d never come across towels made from it. The Luxury Bamboo Towels from The Towel Shop are 50% bamboo/50% cotton and bamboo fibres make them three times more absorbent than normal 100% cotton towels.

I had no idea what to expect when our 600 GSM towels arrived, but my first impressions were that they were lovely and soft and lightweight.

Having a husband who’s well over 6 foot and weighs over 17 stone, if ever there was a man to put these towels to the test it was him.  Now I’m not going to show him wrapped in the bath sheet we received as part of our towelling set, I’d have no readers left! But he was really impressed with the performance of the towel and it’s absorbency.  So am I, the hand towel and face cloth have both been used at the hands of my 7-year-old son, and he just loves excess water.  But rather than being left wringing wet, our Luxury Bamboo Towels from The Towel Shop have been more than man enough for the job.

Not only are these towels really absorbent, but bamboo is anti-fungal meaning that bacteria can’t grow on the towels. I’d also take these towels on holiday, as they really are more lightweight than our beach towels, and apparently bamboo blocks out 97.5% of UV rays.  They wash well too.  We’re sold on them, that’s for sure.

I opted for the Latte colour, but the range is also available in Kingfisher blue, White, Cream, Silver and Charcoal Grey.  Size wise you can have a face cloth, hand towel, bath towel and bath sheet, pricing information is available on The Towel Shop website.

disclosure:  we were sent the items mentioned in exchange for an honest review

  1. If I was lucky enough to win I would choose the cream colour because it would be a lovely contrasting colour to the brown towels I have now 🙂 x

  2. i would choose silver or charcoal grey, because i have a black and white themed bathroom and think it would go best x

  3. Kingfisher Blue. Colour would blend in, yet compliment colour scheme and bathroom. As bathroom white, shower curtain mainly blue as it has a beach scene. Bath mat blue. Considering renewing flooring. Nice towels, and something which is very useful, practical. My fiancé would be delighted with this colour of towels.

  4. The Kingfisher Blue please. Would love to try bamboo towels to see how they compare to the normal cotton ones.

  5. I’d go for Kingfisher Blue as my bathroom is blue and white (and I was a Kingfisher in the guides!)

  6. I think the Cream, because I’m not sure what colour to paint my new bathroom and that would go with anything x

  7. Would be either the Silver or Charcoal Grey as we have recently had the bathroom done and the tiles are grey and white.

  8. Latte cos I love coffee – no, actually because they would colour match beautifully in my bathroom.

  9. I’d choose Charcoal Grey as it matches our other bathroom textiles (including the lovely new bathmat I just bought) :o)

  10. I think I would choose Charcoal Grey. I initially though white but then I realised that would be just daring them to be stained hehe.

  11. I would choose white because I always think they look lovely and make me feel like I’m in a posh hotel! 🙂 x

  12. Charcoal Grey as my family would quickly get them dirty and I would want them to continue to look nice for as long as possible!

  13. I would choose Kingfisher blue as this is the colour of my towels so the kids know not to steal it 😉

  14. I love the Charcoal Grey – would look lovely in my bathroom and is a lovely neutral colour that doesn’t show all the dirt

  15. I’d choose Kingfisher Blue because we are going to refit the bathroom in a few months and that would look lovely in the new colour scheme that I’m going for.

  16. I’d love the charcoal grey, it’d go best with my bathroom 🙂 they look so soft and lovely! That would definitely be something I wouldn’t share with my partner lol

  17. I would choose lime green, or grey. We have recently decorated the bathroom, and these colours would really suit. Many thanks

  18. I’d like the Charcoal Grey. They’d look great in my bathroom. My white towels always end up a grey colour anyway so I might as well start with grey!

  19. The charcoal grey as my son adores grey and as he’s getting rather tall now, he could do with this to cover him when he gets out of the bath!

  20. Kingfisher blue as blue is my daughter’s favourite colour and I love wrapping her up in big cosy towels after her bath

  21. Cream as it matches my current bathroom set up and is neutral enough that it would go with any changes we might make.

  22. Kingfisher Blue would be my choice as this is just the contrasting colour I have started to use in my bathroom

  23. I’d choose the lovely charcoal grey as it would complement my aqua towels, and go with my white and silver bathroom!

  24. Charcoal grey for me. The darker the better due to a love of fake tan and make up lol. Fab giveaway. Would love to be your lucky winner. Fingers crossed x

  25. I’d choose the cream colour towels, I prefer the neutral and can’t keep white, white!

  26. I would choose the towels in charcoal as they would match my bathrooms existing colour scheme xxx

  27. Kingfisher Blue as that would co-ordinate with the Bathroom colours and is also my favourite colour

  28. I would choose latte to match our ensuite bathroom. We are currently using black towels from the main bathroom so it would be lovely to have some that actually match the room! xx

  29. I would choose cream as I think white can sometimes be too light for my household but I like a nice neutral colour

  30. I’d choose the white. I’m in the process of redoing my bathroom and I’m not sure what the colour scheme is going to be yet but white goes with everything.

  31. I’s choose the Kingfisher Blue as our bathroom is quite plain and I like bright towels

  32. I’d love the kingfisher blue – it looks fresh and watery, and goes with the colours in my bathroom.

  33. Definitely the cream. I have a cream bath mat and cream toilet mat, and I like colour schemes that are light and airy 🙂

  34. I’d choose Latte because I really like the colour 🙂 and it would go well with the colour scheme in the bathroom!

  35. I would choose Kingfisher Blue because it is a lovely colour and would fit in very well with my bathroom colour scheme!

  36. CHARCOAL GREY
Because charcoal grey and white is the colour that I am about to paint my bathroom so would be perfect!

  37. Pingback: Competitions Ending March 15th – Love Competitions
  38. I would choose cream as we r doing our house up at the minute so it would go perfect with our colour sceam

  39. I would pick Kingfisher Blue, lovely colour and totally different to anything we have had before, time for a change from the norm 🙂

  40. I love white linen so would choose the white. It’s good to see bamboo being used in this way.

  41. we’ve just painted the bathroom, and I think the Kingfisher blue would match beautifully 🙂

  42. Charcoal grey as my kids like to mess the towels up with face paint, make up, etc so the darker the better 🙂

  43. I would choose White has it would go with any other colour scheme i may want in the future,Thanks.

  44. I would choose White as I have just decorated my bathroom and have a new white shower curtain so would fit in just nicely x

  45. I’d go for latte – currently have cream and think the latte is just a touch warmer which would look lovely in my bathroom.

  46. I would choose the White one just because I love to see nice new white towels, it always looks so clean .x

  47. I’d choose charcoal grey if I won, because I have pink hair and wouldn’t want to stain these gorgeous towels when I top up my colour!

  48. Silver for me please. As I type I have a man in to fix our bathroom window because next month we are getting a new bathroom put in. I have picked a colour scheme of white ceiling, pale grey walls and mid grey flooring. The silver towel would be a perfect accessory.

  49. I’m also (just!) over 40 and a mum to one dazzlingly beautiful girl who just does not stop smiling! 😀 I’d like a towel in charcoal grey please. I was recently thinking of getting a whole new set as we did have a lovely turquoise set but they weren’t great quality and half seem to have gone missing now anyway. I mean I’ve heard of socks going missing but towels? Haha!

  50. Cream. I’m about to move house and not sure what colour my new bathroom is going to be, but cream will go with anything!

  51. Kingfisher blue as its the closest colour that would remind me of a beautiful clear blue sky…sigh

  52. I would love cream, this would be wonderful to replace all my hair dye marked towels courtesy of my lovely teenage daughters!

  53. blue, because they can hide a multitude of sins, and when you have an 8 year old who loves chocolate and mud, towels can take some abuse but they will never show it!

  54. i’d pick the Kingfisher blue as its a lovely colour and would go well with the current colour scheme in my bathroom

  55. The Kingfisher Blue would compliment my bathroom decor perfectly aswell as it’s such a beautiful warming colour x x
