Chillfactor Pull Pops – review

I’m forever buying Monkey ice pops and yogurt lollies so we figured it was about time we tried making them for ourselves.  We’ve been trying out the Chillfactor Pull Pops to make this all possible.

Chillfactor Pull Pops

The Chillfactor Pull Pops are aimed at children aged 4 years and over, and comes with 2 Pull Pops, mixing bowl, bottle (flavour squeezer), cover/lid and an injector (flavour spacer), as well as instructions.

Chillfactor Pull Pops

We’ve made Chillfactor Pull Pops using both my son’s normal yogurts and with a squash mix so far.  It’s recommended that you use a liquid or drinkable yogurt with the Pull Pops.  I just stirred my son’s yogurt up a bit and then we pulled it up into the Pull Pop, which works in the same way as a syringe.

May be if the yogurt had been of a thinner consistency we’d have found it a little easy to draw into the Pull Pop.  It was quite hard for my son to do it on his own, so I took over.

The plunger part of the Pull Pop has two parts, once the detachable part of the plunger is at the top of the Pull Pop, twist it anti-clockwise and it will come off.  Then you can stand the Pull Pop upright in your freezer easily.  They should be frozen within 2-3 hours and ready to eat.

Using a squash mix, it as definitely easier for my son to create the Chillfactor Pull Pops by himself.

The accessories provided with this set enable you to add flavours to your finished Chillfactor Pull Pops, using the likes of syrups, flavoured milks and melted chocolate.  We haven’t tried this as yet, as my son prefers his Pull Pops quite plain.  We have added sprinkles though, which went down well.

When you want to eat the Chillfactor Pull Pops, take them out of the freezer and let them warm up for a couple of minutes.  Re-attach the plunger handle and push the plunger to produce the Pull Pop.  Enjoy.  We did find the yogurt Pull Pops we’ve made so far, are that little bit harder for my son to pull up, than the squash and juice based ones.

The parts are all easy to wash after use, and are then ready for more Pull Pops fun.

The Chillfactor Pull Pops are priced at £12.99, and additional Pull Pops are available for £4.99.  I’ve included my Amazon Affiliate links below for your information.

About Over 40 and a Mum to One

I'm a Mum with an 8 year old son. I had a busy life in Export Sales before my Monkey came along, but decided to become a stay at home Mum once he arrived. Now I enjoy writing my own family lifestyle and travel blog. sharing the adventures that we have as Monkey makes his journey through school. We have a cat called Brewster who makes appearances and I’m a mad Ferrari Formula 1 fan, so that expect to hear about as each season unfolds. We love reviewing days out, toys, games and books and would love the opportunity to look at anything that fits in with our family lifestyle. We are always out and about and offering an insight on the places we visit, with a passion for nature thrown in for good measure.
