I have to be honest, my son was rather late to the party when it came to Minions and the first two Despicable Me films. His best friend was totally obsessed from the start, but it wasn’t until Christmas that I managed to persuade Monkey to watch the films. Of course, he absolutely loved them and we’ve been eagerly awaiting the release of the next film later this month. To get us in the mood for more Minions hilarity Monkey has been putting the Ravensburger Despicable Me 3 Shaped Prisoner Minion 3D puzzle to the test.
The 54 piece Ravensburger Despicable Me 3 Shaped Prisoner Minion 3D puzzle is aimed at anyone over the age of 7 years of age and was a perfect first experience of 3D puzzling for my son. The puzzle pieces are made of durable plastic and are numbered on the inside to assist with the puzzle build.
Each piece also features a directional arrow showing where the next numbered piece needs to fit. Again, making this sort of puzzle perfect for children to try making to.
The Ravensburger Despicable Me 3 Shaped Prisoner Minion 3D puzzle also comes with a mounting stand for the Prisoner Minion as well as his feet and trousers.
The feet and trouser click into each other and then the feet click into the base circle.
My son has watched me construct a couple of 3D puzzles before so he had an idea of how the concept worked and was soon cracking on with his build. My help was certainly not required.
His manual dexterity these days is really rather good, and he’s always been a problem solver. Watching him concentrate and figure out which way round each piece fitted, it was lovely to watch.
