Britains JCB Hydradig

There’s been much excitement in the household since my 7 year old son took delivery of the new Britains JCB Hydradig.  Aimed at children aged 3 years and over, the 1:32 scale module is the latest JCB vehicle to be released and it’s been a big hit here over the last few weeks.

The Britains JCB Hydradig is made of die-cast metal and plastic and is modelled on the first true wheeled excavator.  It’s packed with features as we’ve come to expect from these replica toys and is made to withstand lots of play, whether using in indoors or outside.

My keen construction engineer was soon busy putting his new Britains JCB Hydradig to work.  Trying out the 360 degree spin of the cab.  The doors don’t open on this model but you do get a clear view of the operators steering wheel, which apparently is a good thing.

This is a wheeled vehicle with positional stabilisers and a moveable rear blade.  Britains JCB Hydradig

The rear blade also has a hook so it can pull along trailers and other accessories.  Again, this got a big thumbs up from my specialist engineer.

The three-part arm on the Britains JCB Hydradig is fully extendable, as is the bucket, and it can also move from side to side, just like the real thing.

It’s been well used since it arrived here, and I’ve come to expect my living room to look like a building site most days. The new addition to my son’s fleet of construction vehicles has been most welcome and well used.

Priced at around £25, I’ve included my Amazon Affiliate link below for anyone interested in purchasing the Britains JCB Hydradig for their JCB fan.  My son certainly loves it and I know it will be played with a lot in the months to come.

disclosure:  we were sent the item mentioned in exchange for an honest review
