Wave Racers Triple Skyloop

Wave Racers Triple Skyloop – review and giveaway

It may be the end of the Formula One Grand Prix season but that won’t stop us having some racing fun in the months ahead.  We recently received the Wave Racers Triple Skyloop which is aimed at children aged 6 years and over, and it’s mesmerised my nearly 8 year old son.

Wave Racers Triple Skyloop

The Wave Racers Triple Skyloop comes with 58 pieces of track, a Wave Racers car and an instruction leaflet.  You will need 3 x AAA batteries to operate the car in this set.

The batteries fit in the the underside of the car where you will also find the on off switch.

The track is very easy to assemble and the pieces all slot together.  There is a diagram of the finished track included with the instruction leaflet, but we found it easier to look at the picture on the box as we put the track together.

As you put the track together there are stabiliser plates that clip into place by the loops to hold the track steady and secure.

Once the track is completed you are ready to put the Wave Racers Triple Skyloop to the test.

Wave Racers Triple Skyloop

Turn the Waver Racers car on and you will see a red flashing light on the top of the car – this is the wave sensor.  The faster you wave your hand above this sensor, the faster the car will zoom around the track.

You need to position your hand about 3-10 cms above the wave sensor, and then wave your hand from side to side. If you wave about 15 times the pull your hand away from the track the Wave Racers car will be off before you know it.  The more you wave, the faster the Wave Racers Triple Skyloop action.

The car will run continually for around 60 seconds per wave.

Wave Racers Triple Skyloop

I was intrigued by how long the Wave Racers Triple Skyloop would hold my son’s attention as he normally prefers to design his own tracks rather than having a fixed design to play with.  He loves the loop the loop element of this set but he’s also loved designing his own track and has had just as much fun with this set up too.

The Wave Racers Triple Skyloop can also be joined to other tracks within the range to add in more stunts and tricks, side by side racing and mid-air jumps. The Wave Racers range is available to buy now from Smyths Toys and Toys R Us with an RRP from £19.99 – £49.99 and I’ve included my Amazon Affiliate links below for your reference.

  1. My daughter would love this she is mad on cars. Why should boys just have cars to play with is what she tells me all the time.

  2. I would give it to my two older grandchildren because I know they would love it – and I suspect their cat would too!

  3. My grandson Harrison, because when he was a little two year old he would only ever draw a racing track and we used to try to encourage him to draw people but he always went back to his racing tracks!

  4. Who would you be giving this set to if you won and why? . . . .to my grandson ‘cos l’m trying for promotion to the rank of SuperGran ha ha

  5. I’d give it to my Grandson as he loves playing with his cars and garage but this would give him somethinfg else to do.

  6. I would keep this at my house as I have my nephews around alot and they would have something to play when they come to visit. Fantastic giveaway!

  7. I would love to give this to my friend’s daughter who has just started playing with cars and lives them.

  8. I have 3 boys so it would be a present for all of them this Christmas hopefully something they can actually play with together with no fighting lol. Fantastic prize fingers crossed

  9. I would give this to my nephew if i was to win as he is into cars at the moment so he would love this i’m sure.

  10. I would give this to my stepchildren, but to be honest, I think their Dad will want to play with it more!

  11. My son & daughter. My lad loves cars and my little girl is now also just getting into playing them with her big brother.

  12. I would be giving it to three little foster siblings so my daughter could have some peace & quiet time and they would have lots of fun

  13. I’m hoping to win for my nephew Nathan. This is exactly the sort of toy he’s loving at the moment – he’s not getting an awful lot for Christmas, as his mum & dad are in the process of buying their first house!

  14. My best friends kids, they’ve had a very, very tough year (lost their mum to cancer) and have been so good, they deserve to be spoilt.

  15. To my two youngest grandsons because they love cars. One would play with them all day to the exclusion of anything else unless distracted

  16. I would give it as a joint present to my two youngest daughters. They love racing tracks after playing at our neighbours who has all boys and would love one of their own.

  17. Ooh it would be perfect for my grandsons to share . Would certainly keep them busy when im on babysitting duty lol.

  18. I would love to win for my son. He adores cars and tracks, he finds ones with loop the loops amazing! He always shouts “wow!! It went all the way around! Even upside down”. He’d love this one.

I'd love to hear from you and try to reply to all comments
