Are your children fans of the Dav Pilkey book series, Captain Underpants?  Well if they are, they are bound to enjoy Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie on DVD which has been released on Blu-ray and DVD today through Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment.

Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie on DVD

We join best friends George and Harold who hypnotise their head teacher Mr Krupp into believing he is their comic book superhero Captain Underpants.  As the name suggests, this particular superhero only sports pants and a cape, a sight to draw laughs from any young viewer.  There are lots of giggles to be had and in the end the boys manage to persuade Captain Underpants to go undercover as Mr Krupp.  Are you still with me?

A new science teacher has arrived at school and he’s rather sinister.  Professor Poopypants wants to rid the town of laughter.  Can Captain Underpants save the day?  With no real super powers this might be tricky.  I won’t ruin the rest of the plot, but my son’s enjoyed watching the animated Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie on DVD.

The DVD has extra features including:

Featurettes: The Really Awesome Adventures of Captain Underpants Motion Comic, The Captain Underpants Guide to Being a Hero, The Professor Poopypants (Totally Original and Supercool) Guide to Being a Villain, Kevin Hart and Ed Helms Surprise Fans, Lunch Lady PSA with Kristen Schaal, Sock Puppets Real Stars.

Lyric Videos: Captain Underpants Theme by “Weird Al” Yankovic, “A Friend Like You” by Andy Grammer, Tighty-Whitey Q&A with the Stars – Part 1 and Part 2

About Over 40 and a Mum to One

I'm a Mum with an 8 year old son. I had a busy life in Export Sales before my Monkey came along, but decided to become a stay at home Mum once he arrived. Now I enjoy writing my own family lifestyle and travel blog. sharing the adventures that we have as Monkey makes his journey through school. We have a cat called Brewster who makes appearances and I’m a mad Ferrari Formula 1 fan, so that expect to hear about as each season unfolds. We love reviewing days out, toys, games and books and would love the opportunity to look at anything that fits in with our family lifestyle. We are always out and about and offering an insight on the places we visit, with a passion for nature thrown in for good measure. If you like what you read please leave me a comment, I love to hear from people, and always try to reply. Enjoy the read.
