It’s been so unbelievable cold here lately that staying indoors on a cold winter’s evening has been the best option.  I’ve spent my evenings getting to grips with the Make it Medley puzzle from Ravensburger, which is number 11 in the series of perplexing puzzles.

I don’;t know about you, but I much prefer jigsaw puzzles with lots of detail to those with massive blue skies.  The Make it Medley puzzle from Ravensburger immediately caught my eye as it is packed full of colour, details and objects, to keep a keen puzzler like myself interested.

I can’t imagine how long it took Devon based photographer Greg Shepherd to create this flat lay image, filled with a myriad of crafting bits and bobs, but the finished image is wonderful.

Being a bit of a cross stitcher who’s also worked with beads in the past, I could really relate to this scene and loved picking out all the details as I pieced the puzzle together.

I can just imagine handling these bugle beads and stitching them into a project, or threading these colourful beads to make a necklace.

My time has certainly been brightened up by the Make it Medley puzzle from Ravensburger.  The quality of the board and image is as good as ever, and I know puzzlers aged 12 years and over will enjoy the challenge of completing this puzzle as much as I have.

As well as my own enjoyment with time spent completing this puzzle, it also been fun explaining to my 8 year old, what some of the items are in the picture and what they’d be used for.  We tried to decide what we would make with the various threads and wires and he was very pleased to see pipe cleaners featured in the scene.  He does love his pipe cleaners!
