Project 365 2018 Week 49 Days 336

Sunday 2nd December – Day 336

Project 365 2018 Week 49

We caught up with some chores in the morning and then had roast dinner.  In the late afternoon we headed over to Blenheim Palace to join a couple of Oxfordshire Blogger families to enjoy the Cinderella Experience and Illuminated Light Trail.  The weather wasn’t as kind to us this year, but we had a good time nonetheless.

Monday 3rd December – Day 337

Project 365 2018 Week 49

The cat woke me up at 2.30am and then my eight year old elf woke me up an hour later, complaining of growing pains.  I was shattered when the alarm went off, whilst this one was full of beans.

It rained on and off all day, I had a number of jobs to do in town but I was so tired, I came home after work and crashed out with a cuppa.

I was very relieved when my son went to Cubs after school without any issues.

Tuesday 4th December – Day 338

Project 365 2018 Week 49

I was a grateful for a better night’s sleep although the cat woke me up a 3.45am.  Daddy P was meant to put him out before he went to work, clearly he didn’t.

Berry the Elf had left a message asking who’d eaten all of his cookies the day before.  My son actually owned up and wrote a message back.  in fact he’s been leaving messages every day since Berry arrived.  I’ll take him writing any way I can get it.

A cold and frosty day, I was glad to spend most of it indoors catching up on blog work.

Wednesday 5th December – Day 339

Project 365 2018 Week 49

My son’s best friend has got a bug so it was just the two of us on the walk to school, back to holding hands and chatting.

Popped to the Post Office to send a few things around the globe, before heading to work.  A manic time there before heading into town to run some errands.

My son’s set up a drawing station in the living room and was practicing his skills after school.

Thursday 6th December – Day 340

Project 365 2018 Week 49

The day some sod stole £400 from our bank account. Thankfully I spotted it really quickly but it was a horrible feeling.  Barclays customer service was excellent.

I got to go into school and see the whole school art exhibition.  Every child in school had had a picture professionally framed and hung, art gallery style.  I was really impressed by the standard, needless to say pennies had to be spent but it’s all in a good cause.

My brother and SIL popped over bearing gifts for my son for next week and Christmas.

Friday 7th December – Day 341

Project 365 2018 Week 49

It seems to be a week of mainly breakfast shots!  This morning my son woke up to find that Berry the Elf had left him a puzzle sheet to complete.  Good old Berry, getting my son reading.

It rained so much today, we were all rather wet on the walk to school this morning.  Posted my last Christmas airmail despatches.  Finally feel a tad more organised.

Our missing money has been refunded, phew!  Got some home paperwork sorted and a few blog posts written.  The next week is going to be so busy even though I’ve turned down loads of reviews lately.

Saturday 8th December – Day 342

Project 365 2018 Week 49

We both woke up feeling rather rotten and full of cold.  So we binned our outdoor plans for the day and decided to stay in the warm instead.  Berry the Elf had left my son a pot of Magic Snow over night, with the suggestion we should make a snowman.  This turned out to be trickier than expected so my son made a snow scene instead.

  1. Hope your colds will disappear asap. The Blenheim Palace lights look stunning. I haven’t checked out yet how much the tickets are, but I guess not cheap. Monkey looks cute in the elf hat. We don’t do the elf on the shelf thing. Eddie asked me, but I told him it’s either me or the elf. 🙂
Glad the money was refunded but how awful, it’s good you noticed in time.

  2. Those lights in the first photo are so pretty!
hehehe! Breakfast with a hat on! I love it.
What a great way to get your son writing. The elf sounds like a great encouragement.
Eek! I hope you get all the money back that was stolen quickly. Good job on spotting it early. A few years ago I lost money out of my bank account and it is such a horrible feeling.
Last year my youngest girls school did the art gallery thing and it was such a lovely idea. I didn’t mind paying at all for the picture. We still have it on the wall. Your sons artwork looks very professional.
What a lovely snow scene x

  3. I’m glad you got your money back from the bank, that’s happened to us twice, both times Peters card. Really pleased to hear Berry’s cunning plan to get F reading and writing is working

  4. Sorry to hear about the money being stolen, what an awful thing to happen! I’m glad it was resolved so quickly. It’s nice that your son is writing a letter to the elf every day.

  5. wow at those lights, look amazing and the red jacket compliments them nicely.
Bloody hell at the money but wow you got that back quick, took me 13 weeks about 20 years ago to get mine back.
Flippin heck what time does your husband start work if he should have put the cat out before that ungodly hour?????
Good thinking from Elf getting reading and writing done.
Another clid that eats dry cereals with his fingers ( there is no other way to eat them)

  6. Hope you are feeling better now! These colds are certainly doing the rounds.

Glad your money has been refunded! That must have been horrible.

    Am loving that Light trail!

I'd love to hear from you and try to reply to all comments
