Project 365 2019 Week 3 Day 13 – 19

Sunday 13th January – Day 13

Project 365 2019 Week 3

We do like to get out of the house at this time of year if at all possible, especially if that entails getting outdoors and making use of our National Trust membership. We’d decided on a long drive up to Shugborough until I noticed that the house isn’t open at this time of year.  So I made a new list of possibilities and let Daddy P decide where we should head.

We ended up at Lacock and had a lovely time exploring the grounds, Abbey and village.  It’s somewhere we’ll definitely revisit too as there’s a lot of parkland to explore.  Our visit also made my son’s day, as it’s possible to get three different stamps at Lacock as you go from one area to another.  That saw him finish his first passport and start his second.

When I took this shot, I just thought, wow, what a grown up face!  Scary.

I’m not sure why but on the way home I started to feel really sick and unwell.  Thankfully I wasn’t actually sick but my ‘doctor’ looked after me when we got home  and covered me over with a blanket.

Monday 14th January – Day 14

Project 365 2019 Week 3

On of those days.  I got dressed ready for work but by the time I actually got downstairs I knew I’d be going nowhere.  I still felt awful, although this did make me smile.  My son made me two hearts, one of which he cut in half so he could take one half to school with him.  He can be very sweet when he wants to be.  I got my son to school and then went straight to bed.  Apart from a number of nuisance calls I slept for three hours, still felt rubbish but not quite as bad as earlier in the day.  My son’s best friends Mum bought him home for me and Daddy P took charge of Cubs drop off and pick up.

My son came home with another Cubs badge that hadn’t arrived before Christmas.

Tuesday 15th January – Day 15

Project 365 2019 Week 3

Still rather worn out but getting there.  Got my son to school and after a cuppa decided to crack on and get my tax return completed.  One day I won’t leave in until the last minute, but not this year! Once that was done, I opened the blog and discovered that after six years I’ve reached number 10 in Tots100 ranking of UK parent bloggers.  I’m not very good at selling myself but I was rather chuffed with this after feeling rather pants.

My son was walked home from school by his bestie and his Mum, normal service will resume tomorrow.  Time to get his homework done.

Wednesday 16th January – Day 16

Project 365 2019 Week 3

Thank god for Brewster!  as it appears this was the only photo I took today.  always happiest when he’s fast asleep in my bed when my son is at school.

I was back to school walks and work, was shattered by the end of the day but definitely on the mend thankfully.

Thursday 17th January – Day 17

Project 365 2019 Week 3

The duvet thief is back and he was making ‘sausage rolls’ out of the duvet this morning apparently!   The first time I looking out of the window this morning it was raining, ten minutes later, I looked out and it was snowing.  What!  I hate snow, especially when I’m not prepared for it.  Thankfully it didn’t last long, but it was an icy, cold walk to school this morning.

Friday 18th January – Day 18

Project 365 2019 Week 3

Filling in his Woodland Trust year book was more appealing than reading his school reading book this morning.

It was really chilly again this morning but thankfully it warmed up during the day enough for all the ice to disappear.

Saturday 19th January – Day 19

Project 365 2019 Week 3

No snow this morning – phew.  Thought I was on the mend but feeling rubbish again today, probably not helped by trying to get my son to do his My Maths homework.  Homemade pizzas for lunch, he went for a three cheese option and even added a few olives to his creation today.  Small steps.

  1. Sorry to hear you’ve been feeling poorly all week. Hope you feel better soon. Your son does look very grown up in that first photo. Number 10 in Tots is amazing! Congratulations. I can’t even get inside the top 100. I’ve been hovering just outside it forever.

  2. My oh my, your lovely boy does look so grown up in that photo. When some of the old photos pop up on my FB wall as memories, of Eddie and Sash being little, it makes my heart go all mushy. Our boys are growing up so fast.
Sorry to hear you were poorly this week, hope you’re on the mend. How sweet of Monkey to do those hearts for you.
We didn’t have any snow on Thursday, it was just another dull wet day here.
Monkey in action, cooking pizzas – that’s fab!

  3. It does sound like you have some fab days out. Your boy does look so grown up in that first photo. Eek!
So sorry you have been unwell.
Well done with the Tots score. That’s fantastic. I’m so chuffed for you!
Ahh! We had the snow too. It layed for a little while but was gone by the afternoon.

  4. Olives is pretty impressive. N won’t eat them anymore (and I can’t stand them). Thankfully we didn’t have any snow, but school 2 minutes down the road did. Very odd day

  5. Oh no your poor thing, its tough when we are ill isn’t it as everything still has to go on. Glad to hear it didn’t last too long. Congratulations on the Tots100 thats brilliant. I always struggle with blogging and find it a bit of a rollercoaster emotionally so its nice to get some recognition for all the handwork put in. Love that hes making his own pizzas I can’t wait for my Monkey to be able to do the same x

  6. That National Trust card is certainly worth it’s weight in gold for the two of you, hopefully I can join you both for a few days out this year. love the pizza, but no Olive’s for me thank you

  7. Sorry to hear you’ve been ill. i hope you are feeling better. Your son does look very grown up. They grow so fast. Way to go on being number 10 in Tots. Such a cute kitty too xx
