You know when you read up about something and you’re left thinking ‘yeah right, I bet!’, well when I heard that the Airhogs Zero Gravity Laser could work on walls and ceilings, that’s exactly what I thought.  Would I be left eating my words?

Air Hogs Zero Gravity Laser

The Airhogs Zero Gravity Laser is aimed at children aged 8 years and over and was released through Spin Master last month. In the box, you’ll find the car, laser gun and charging cable for the car, along with an instruction booklet. You will need to provide 3 x AAA batteries for the laser gun.

There are two LED sensors on the headlights of the Airhogs Zero Gravity Laser car and a battery indicator light on the boot.

At the back of the car, you will find the power switch which also has different positions for running the car on the floor and walls/ceiling, along with the charging point.

It takes approximately 45 minutes to fully charge the Airhogs Zero Gravity Laser, which will them give you 5-10 minutes of drive time. When you need to recharge the car, you will need to leave it for 10-15 minutes first, before recharging, to allow the batteries to cool down.  The battery indicator light on top of the car will start to flash when batteries are running low.

Once fully charged you are ready for some fun and I have to tell you that my son and I have both loved playing with the Airhogs Zero Gravity Laser.  It’s really rather addictive and it really does drive up walls with ease.  We can’t comment on its ability to drive across ceilings as unfortunately, it won’t work on Artex ceilings.  But if you’ve got a plain smooth surfaced ceiling, going on the fun we’ve had on the walls, I’m sure it will work without any problems.

Select whether you want to run on the floor or on the wall/ceiling and then place the car on the relevant surface.  You will find that it instantly holds to the wall if you choose that option.

Then you press the trigger on the gun, standing up to 2 metres away from the car but with the laser pointing no more than 33 cms in front of the sensors.

It works well on all flat, smooth surfaces that we’ve tried and has given us lots of fun already.
