You all know that I love reading, and occasionally rather than hosting giveaways I do actually take part myself. Back in October last year I entered a giveaway over on Twitter to win a signed copy of the latest novel from Louisa de Lange, called Ask Me No Questions. It was published last year through Orion Books and I finished reading it over the Christmas holidays. Whilst there was absolutely no request for me to review this book, as I enjoyed it so much I wanted to share it with you all.
Ask Me No Questions introduces us to identical twins Gabriella and Thea Patterson. When they were eighteen, their parents were murdered by Harrison Becker, their next-door neighbour, who also happened to be having an affair with their mother. Despite these events, the girls were still close to Becker’s son Harry, but something happened and the girls haven’t spoken for fifteen years.
Gabi left town, whilst Gabi and Harry stayed put. Secrets have been left hidden, issues and feelings not resolved until DS Kate Munro interviews Thea, following a violent attack on Thea which has left her in a coma. But is everything as it seems?
There are so many twists and turns in Ask Me No Questions, that you are left guessing with this novel until the end. I really don’t want to give any of the plot details away, it’s such a good read, you just need to buy it. The characters are very believable and the tension builds and builds as lies unravel and the real story of these characters is uncovered.
Apparently this is the first in a series of police dramas and I’m really looking forward to seeing what comes next. If you like a good psychological thriller, then you will enjoy Ask Me No Questions, I couldn’t put it down.
